Limbus is a section of the Al'Taieu region separated into two different zones with each zone having their own separate areas to explore.

Rules

General Rules

• Must be on Chapter 8 of the Chains of Promathia expansion to enter.
• Must wait 72 hours between visits.
• Key Item: Cosmo-Cleanse needs to be purchased from Sagheera for 15k each time, per person.
• Key Item: Red Card, White Card or Black Card needs to be obtained from the respective Aw'euvhi from its portion of the zone, each time.

• Upon entering, both key items are lost.
• Up to 18 members able to enter.
• Most areas (except for Central Apollyon and Central Temenos 4F begin with a time limit of 30 minutes.
• If someone engages a monster before all members have joined the battlefield, they will be unable to join.
  • Unsure if there is a job level limit, but generally intended for players above level 65.

Chests

There are three types of chests found in the Limbus areas.

• Time Extension: Blue with Gold lining (Can either be 5, 10, or 15 minutes depending on zone.)
• Items: Dark Brown with Gold lining (Ancient Beastcoins, AF+1 Materials, Chips, Synthesis Materials)
• Restore HP/MP: Light Brown with Silver lining (restores all HP/MP and all Job Ability timers (including 2-hours)

The chests act differently in different areas of Limbus. In some areas you are forced to choose only one chest per level, while in others you can open every chest in the area.

Rewards

Limbus is extremely popular because it allows the players to have a large choice of awards for participating in Limbus. Players can upgrade their AF to AF+1 items, battle against Proto-Omega for the Homam Armor Set, battle Proto-Ultima for the Nashira Armor Set, and buy pieces of gear from Sagheera.
