Dragon Quest X
Talk to one of the slimes in the following areas to participate: Southern San d'Oria (K-9) / Bastok Markets (E-10) / Windurst Woods (H-11)
Accept the offer to transport yourself to one of the below zones, and speak to a slime there.
Catch slimes located in the wilds of Vana'diel! Slimes can only be caught after adventurers get gooed-up with magic cast by friendly slimes located in the following areas: East Ronfaure (G-6) / South Gustaberg (J-7) / East Sarutabaruta (G-11)
Capturing slimes will rewards players with slime coins.
- Players' levels will be reduced to one while under the effects of the slime magic.
- Players will be unable to attack or receive attacks from other monsters for the duration.
- Slime - 1 point
- She-Slime - 2 points
- Metal Slime - 10 points
- Metal Slimes can occasionally appear after a Slime or a She-Slime is defeated.
- Slimes occasionally run away, Earth spells work best, and is available to all jobs subbing BLM.
- Stack the Destrier Beret, Chocobo Shirt and Grounds of Valor Refresh buffs for the best results.
- Using Food with raw(not percentage-based) Accuracy will help significantly. Marine Stewpot will cap Accuracy for Slimes and She-Slimes, but Metal Slimes will still evade most of your attacks. Cheap alternatives from the Curio Vendor Moogle are Jack-o'-Lantern and Black Curry Bun.
- Metal Slimes are immune to magic, and take 1 damage per swing. Critical hits can deal much more. They only have 4 HP.
Rewards
Slimes located within city walls will trade the following items in exchange for slime coins:

170 total slime coins are needed to purchase every item.
* These items will become available for purchase once a player, his party, or his alliance has slain she-slimes or metal slimes. Metal slimes will occasionally appear when vanquishing slimes or she-slimes.
Monstrosity Species
**Talk to the slime in town after purchasing and equipping all three "Slime" items to obtain Slime Fetish.
Note: Even if you have purchased these items in the past, you must purchase them again while the event is active. You cannot re-use previously purchased items.
Additional two Spirits
- Defeat at least one "She-Slime" and one "Metal Slime" to unlock additional slime items to buy.
- Purchase the She-Slime Hat, She-Slime Shield, She-Slime Earring as well as the Metal Slime Hat, Metal Slime Shield, and Metal Slime Earring.
- After purchasing three pieces in a set, you will receive a cutscene at the NPC.
- After purchasing the sixth item, a final cutscene will play and you will receive the She-Slime Spirit & M. Slime Spirit
Trade these items to Suibhne in the Feretory while you have the Astoltian Slime monster active.
FFXIV
Talk to one of the moogles in the following areas to participate: Southern San d'Oria (G-9) / Port Bastok (K-7) / Windurst Waters (F-9)
Catch spriggans infesting Vana'dielian wildlands! Only those under the effects of mysterious moogle magic cast by moogles in the following areas are able to capture spriggans: West Ronfaure (I-6) / North Gustaberg (L-8) / West Sarutabaruta (J-8)
When under the effects of the moogles' incantations, players will be able to clash with and capture the spriggans, thus receiving chartreuse, vermillion, or mauve stone shards.
- Players' levels will be reduced to one while under the effects of the slime magic.
- Players will be unable to attack or receive attacks from other monsters for the duration.
- Chartreuse stone shards - obtained from Spriggan Sifter
- Vermillion stone shards - obtained from Spriggan Crier
- Mauve stone shards - obtained from Spriggan Graverobber
Speak to the moogle who started the event to participate in a mini lottery for special prizes using your chartreuse, vermillion, and mauve stone shards.
About the Lottery: The odds of receiving higher tier prizes vary with the color of stone shard used. Mauve stone shards provide the best odds, followed by vermillion, and then chartreuse. Furthermore, receiving third prize or the booby prize increases the odds of your next spin of the wheel resulting in first or second prize. These odds will reset when you receive either of the two higher tier prizes.
Hot Streak chances with the lottery are possible after every spin. The chances of a hot streak increase if you spin the same wheel consecutively. Hot streaks last around 8-12 spins. When you are wearing the body and club you have a higher chance at getting a hot streak. Hot streaks give you a higher chance at winning 1st/2nd prize.
First prize: one item from the following list: Purple Spriggan Coat / Red Spriggan Coat
Second prize: one item from the following list: Purple Spriggan Club / Red Spriggan Club
Third prize: one item from the following list: Green Spriggan Coat / Green Spriggan Club
Booby prize: one item from the following list: Purple Spriggan Lolli / Red Spriggan Lolli / Green Spriggan Lolli / Spriggan Spark
Tips for this event
The Destrier Beret and Chocobo Shirt help immensely, as well as Regen and Protect from the Grounds Tome using tabs.
- There is no benefit to wearing body/club while killing Spriggans.
- Partying up is beneficial, each member gets credit for each kill.
Monstrosity Species
After you speak to a moogle in a city above for the initial cutscene for the event, you can trade one of each element of Synthesis Crystal (all 8) to spriggans in town to get the following:
- Spriggan Fetish: Middle Spriggan holding the yellow stone
- Red Spriggan Spirit: Left Spriggan holding red stone
- Purple Spriggan Spirit: Right Spriggan holding purple stone
Three of each crystal type are needed.
Multiples of these items are worthless.
- Trade the Spriggan Fetish to Suibhne in the Feretory to unlock Spriggan Customization.
- Trade the Red Spriggan Spirit to him while Spriggan is active for Spriggan.C.
- Trade Purple Spriggan Spirit as a Spriggan to unlock Spriggan.G
