Dial Key Fo Results
I have updated the Dial Key Fo page to include all results from the BGwiki testing posts.
Am mostly satisfied with the ordering of the rewards, but I'm open-minded about other sorting ideas.
Is there a particular table I need to add to each of these reward item pages, or should I add a Related Link as I've seen on some of the item pages that links back to Dial Key Fo Similar topic but out of scope of the current task, it bothers me that Dial Key Fo (Fortune Dial Key) isn't represented at all on the Gobbie Mystery Box page. My first thought is adding the Keys table into the starting out section. I know there's a sentence stating to check the Keys item page, but that's super easy to go unnoticed. -- Alexeina (talk) 06:57, 29 July 2022 (EDT)

Can add it to the gobbie dial page, for sure. Generally, lists are just alphabetical. --Spicyryan (talk) 08:18, 29 July 2022 (EDT)

We do have the Dial Key page. There is not really any other way to sort them. Remember that we also want to add onto the pouch page that it can be obtained by using the key. We do not really have a template set up for this, though. Funkworkz (talk) 09:50, 29 July 2022 (EDT)

I could add a Related-To link or wait for a new template to proceed, your choice. -- Alexeina (talk) 10:57, 29 July 2022 (EDT)

Looking over the available templates, it seems like Template:Item NPC Table could be appropriate when trading keys to the goblins.
We're getting the Item from and NPC via a purchase with the currency being Dial Keys. And I would have to list every goblin, not just one.
Usually when I present a problem I try to present possible solutions as well, so I'll review the templates and think it over.
However, since the pouches are only a potentially redeemed item, this idea feels yucky.
It's more like a loot drop table then purchasing an item. So perhaps a template that looks more like a loot table. -- Alexeina (talk) 11:27, 30 July 2022 (EDT)

Also, shouldn't every abjuration page also say it's attainable via the Ab. Dial Key? -- Alexeina (talk) 11:37, 30 July 2022 (EDT)

I do not think a template is needed for obtaining it from the dial key fo. Perhaps just a blurb under Notes.

Technically yes the abj pages should... but that is quite a large undertaking. It is kind of like saying everything is obtainable with dial key #anv, which is much more impractical. Funkworkz (talk) 14:10, 31 July 2022 (EDT)

Added a reference link to the drop testing on Dial Key Fo page and for each dropped item's page I added a note that indicates a low drop rate of less than 6% with a link back to the Dial Key Fo page. I'm thinking this project is done unless either of you can think of anything else. -- Alexeina (talk) 15:46, 11 August 2022 (EDT)

I think that suffices. --Spicyryan (talk) 15:52, 11 August 2022 (EDT)

Regarding Ambuscade Vanity Weapon Pages Task

The pages already had Obtained From information before I started, however I did see that many weapons did not have images.
Regrettably I cannot provide images for Goujian, Helgoland and Za'Dha Chopper
Unless you want to expand this task to uploading images it seems to have already been completed. -- Alexeina (talk) 12:45, 28 July 2022 (EDT)

Please shrink the images a bit on the page by adding "|300px" or around that size to the code after the image name. I will see if I have those three that you don't have. Funkworkz (talk) 13:05, 28 July 2022 (EDT)

Appreciate the guidance on picture sizing. I went ahead and set all images to |300px but a few are a bit tall, so I may revisit them with some other changes. -- Alexeina (talk) 15:46, 28 July 2022 (EDT)

You can adjust them accordingly. Please keep in mind that if you remove the |link= part of the image link, people can then click it and get the original size image to view. We are trying to keep mobile in mind, so be sure to pull up pages you edit on your mobile browser. You can also crop them to allow more room for images to focus on the weapons while remaining larger. I cant remove this task until we get the other three weapon images. Funkworkz (talk) 16:14, 28 July 2022 (EDT)

Regarding - Check all red-link Trials here: User:Ohgami/t-test
Did you have any particular method in mind for validating the existence of these trials?
I can try checking against other wikis but maybe there's something better I don't know about, like checking the dats? -- Alexeina (talk) 08:51, 29 July 2022 (EDT)

This is quite the ordeal, and I do not know of a way to validate them. It will take awhile to do this task. Some do not even exist. Funkworkz (talk) 09:47, 29 July 2022 (EDT)

Pain, I'll go ahead with checking other wikis and meticulously track what I've checked because I may not finish and someone else will need to know where I left off. -- Alexeina (talk) 10:54, 29 July 2022 (EDT)

I'm thinking create redirects for Trials 4424-4443 to Trial_of_the_Magians_Job_Emotes and change the column that has job emote to instead reflect the Augment that each torque receives. Or add another column that shows the Augs? I had the thought of putting together full pages for each trial just for consistencies sake but is it worth the effort to create all those pages for content that's irrelevant? This is a decent summary of the torque trials as-is. How do you want to proceed?
Also have found 5 Adventuring Fellow related trials, thinking that the Category page for magian trials should have sections for the torques and adventuring fellow trials. Just so you can see these other branches of the trials easily. -- Alexeina (talk) 11:22, 29 July 2022 (EDT)

Weren't the emote trials for the necks that no longer exist?

As far as the adventuring fellow ones. Just a standard trial page like the others. --Spicyryan (talk) 13:05, 29 July 2022 (EDT)

I went ahead and checked in-game. Talk to the Green Magian Moogle, you can acquire all the trial torques, and I verfied the torques do get augs when the trial is completed by checking the results dialog. The torques suck but, these trials are still in the game.
Sure I'll do standard trial pages for the adventuring fellow trials. -- Alexeina (talk) 13:15, 29 July 2022 (EDT)

Be sure to reference the actual Quests for those adventuring fellow trials when you work on them.

Also, job emotes are obtained when a job is unlocked now so theres no reason to have the trial pages. Redirects like you mentioned are better suited going to Job Emote (the destination, not the page since that would be a double redirect. Funkworkz (talk) 13:48, 29 July 2022 (EDT)

The reward from these torque trials is an Augmented torque with stats like Att and Acc or Str and Vit. When I talked to the Green moogle he didn't say anything about job emotes either. I understand that's what used to be implemented. But to portray the game accurately as now, these trials should indicate the reward is an augmented torque. -- Alexeina (talk) 14:05, 29 July 2022 (EDT)

Please review the edits I have made to these pages, all edits are specifically in support of Trial 4444 Once I've received your feedback I'll proceed with completing all other edits for the rest of the Adventuring Fellow Magian Trials.
Pages edited
Trial 4444 , A Trial in Tandem , Tandem Necklace, Copper Meed

These torques are not permanent, they are removed from your inventory after the quest completes. I made some edits, go ahead with what is there. The KIs used in the quests need updated, ill do that later. Funkworkz (talk) 21:08, 29 July 2022 (EDT)

I see the misunderstanding now. When you finish the trial, the moogle hands the torque back to you with the augments. Trial is complete, the torque has no trial signature in it's description. See, you don't lose the torque when the trial is completed. I went back to Trial_of_the_Magians_Job_Emotes wondering if current behavior is different from previous implementation and Trial_of_the_Magians_Job_Emotes has a note on the page stating that you can keep or throw away the torque, either way you'll have access to the job emote. So I'm thinking you're having a memory failure here, no big deal. The end result is you can keep a torque with augs. I've verified just now by finishing the trial on the Rogue's torque.

I'll proceed with the Adventuring Fellow trials, thank you for reviewing. -- Alexeina (talk) 00:40, 30 July 2022 (EDT)

Finished all the Adventuring Fellow Trials -- Alexeina (talk) 09:43, 30 July 2022 (EDT)

Finished checking all red-link Trials
Didn't find any other valid trials(did find the Magian Neck Trials and the Adventuring Fellow Trials)
How did I validate the trials? I searched every single trial number on clopedia, one trial at a time.
It was tediuous but about 25% through the trials I was able to search about 5 trials per minute. Did find about 4-6 incorrect trial numbers on clopedia.
In the beginning I checked other wikis as well, but they were missing so many valid trials it seemed pointless. -- Alexeina (talk) 11:04, 30 July 2022 (EDT)

The old "use clopedia for old information" trick falls apart really fast when it comes to basic things like this. They always have something wrong when cross-referencing this sort of thing. Good for us though, we can have those trial pages available for players. Thanks for making this happen. --Spicyryan (talk) 11:43, 30 July 2022 (EDT)

Have done the following since we last talked.

Am I missing anything or can we consider this project finished now? -- Alexeina (talk) 18:33, 11 August 2022 (EDT)

I'm going to update each item page with Magian Trial usage and create individual trial pages that redirect to Trial_of_the_Magians_Job_Emotes -- Alexeina (talk) 13:58, 13 August 2022 (EDT)

Now I think this project is Really Done. -- Alexeina (talk) 17:32, 13 August 2022 (EDT)
