Introduction

Dark Knight is a respectable damage dealing job that can surpass most jobs in versatility and overall damage. With Devastating weaponskills and Incredible Dark magic...BUT to become the top Dark knight in your league, you need the proper gear! Dark Knight along with many other damage dealing jobs are very gear dependant! wearing the best gear is not only important but vital. Level 1-9

  • Summary - The Gear Here is the best defense-wise for your level, the Courage and Balance rings are interchangeable and moreso since DEX+1 = ACC+1 since a previous update. Macro the Dexterity rings for melee then swap for Strength during a weaponskill. As for Items such as Leather Belt and Justice Badge, they are not needed but in the sake of putting SOMETHING in the slot. they are nice. the MND+ will increase your resistance to certain white magic debuffs. While Shell earrings might be useless by level 16, they are one of the best pieces you can get for the earring slot, many monsters in Valkurm Dunes use abilities that are Fire (Goblins, Lizards) and Water (Damselflies, Crabs) based.

  • Summery - Minor Changes around now, but needed. as a Damage dealer you will more often then not take hate and proper gear will determine if you die in 1 hit or 3 hits. Brave Belt increases your Strength a bit more so thats an extra boost to ws damage and your regular melee attacks. Bone Earring replaces Shell, as attack will aid you better then the minor elemental resistance shell provides.

  • Summary - Well, small level gap here but there are a couple of key equips at 25. Most of this can stay the same. The beetle gear is cheap and great for this level. Try the +1 if you can afford it. The Fang Necklace is key and should be purchased as soon as can be worn. The Beetle Earrings are also key and can be worn for a very long time. Balance Rings offer the DEX for the ACC that we can't get right now. I also tossed in the Cruel Scythe, which is a very notable scythe for this level range.

  • Summary - Mostly the same except for two things. The Empress Hairpin is your first peice of unreasonable gear and should be obtained as soon as possible. The Emperor Hairpin can be purchased if you have a lot of money. Also, the Republic Subligar is a key item for this level because it significantly raises your attack.

  • Summary - Big changes here. Enter the Brass Grip. The accuracy rings are also key here. Obviously the Archer's Ring is expensive and the Shikaree is hard to get. Stick with the Balance Ring if you can't get either. The Fancy Spectacles are good during the daytime only. The Royal Squire's Mufflers are also key for the ACC you need so badly. Upgraded the Beetle gear to the Centurion's, but you could use another good DEF/EVA gear if you want.
