What's "Mog Bonanza"?

Final Fantasy XI's 6th anniversary is just around the corner, and to celebrate this happiest of occasions, the Mog House Management Union (MHMU) has decided to hold the very first Mog Bonanza event, kupo! We moogles have spared no effort to ensure that this inaugural event is a runaway success, with the prizes prepared bound to have even the most appallingly affluent adventurers drooling uncontrollably, kupo! This is the chance to turn your Vana'dielian dreams into reality and become the envy of all fellow adventurers by winning stupendous amounts of gil, or super-rare items of legend like the Kraken Club...and more!

How to Play

The Mog Bonanza is a number-guessing game in which you pick a five-digit number of your choice, kupo. Playing is simple! Purchase a Mog Bonanza marble (*1) from a Bonanza Moogle at designated areas (*2), then have the vendor inscribe your desired five-digit number on it, kupo. If you can't decide on a number, we moogles will be more than happy to pick one for you. The winning numbers will be announced at a later date, so sit tight and leave the rest to Lady Luck, kupo!

The conditions for winning are as follows:
Rank 1 prize: all five digits matching. 47396 (56 winners)
Rank 2 prize: the last four digits matching. 1017 (1234 winners)
Rank 3 prize: the last three digits matching. 379 (6854 winners)
Rank 4 prize: the last two digits matching. 44 (60461 winners)
Rank 5 prize: the last digit matching. 1 (837417 winners)

*1
Up to 10 Mog Bonanza marbles can be purchased per character level 5 or above. You can have the same number inscribed on multiple marbles. This will mean bigger earnings should you have a winning number, kupo.

*2
Purchase your Mog Bonanza marbles, check winning numbers, and collect prizes from Bonanza Moogles at Port San d'Oria (I-9), Port Bastok (L-8), Port Windurst (F-6), or the Chocobo Circuit (H-8), kupo.

A Concentrated Offensive.

Rahal, that miserable miser...
How long does he think to delay the dispatchment of kingdom forces to strike down the Orcish threat?
From whence did the throne's coffers take precedence over the safety of our citizens?
With the winnings, I shall restore the order of knights to their former glory, and--
What? Bonanza numbers!?
......
A concentrated offensive is the most fundamental military strategy! Ten marbles for number 11111 shall be my pick!

Bigger Net = More Fish.

I'm only interested in playing because revenue from the Mog Bonanza is supposed to go towards Mog House maintenance and improvement. You could say it's my little way of showing support to all the tireless young adventurers out there. But of course, I don't intend to just make up the numbers--no pun intended, heheh. My calculations have shown that consecutive numbers will maximize one's chances, so that's how I'll be picking my ten.
On top of that, I'm forming a syndicate with nine trustworthy friends from the Metalworks, which means we'll have all possible combinations covered for the last two digits. After all, a bigger net catches more fish!

Let the Moogle Manage.

Wealth not obtained through one's own hard work is meaningless.
That is why your so-called Mog Bonanza fails to capture my interest.
But, if I were to play like those gil-starved adventurers.
I'd simply have you, the moogle, pick my ten numbers.
What's that, you ask?
What if the numbers should be off the mark?
I'd be full of pity for you.
Because it's me that you'll have to answer to!
Ohohohohoho!

Leave Fortune to Fate.

I've been waiting a long time for something exciting like this to come along. I doubt a young whippersnapper like you will understand, but when you get to my age and have seen all there is to see, nothing really gets your heart pumping anymore.
What? Want to know how I'll pick my numbers, eh?
Actually, I intend to pick only one. I don't know what that number is yet, but I'm sure it'll reveal itself when it's good and ready. The rest I leave to fate.
I have a feeling a lot of young'uns looking for ways to better their chances won't be satisfied with my answer.
Sorry to disappoint! Heh heh heh…
