Is there a source for the skillchain damage bonus? It seems wrong to me, as a 2 step (like rudra -> rudra with am3 up) will do 200% damage not 110%. Normally darkness will do 100% but umbral does 200%. It works for radiance too, and seems to increase faster with steps as well. A tier 3 skillchain will do 150% dmg with 3 steps and 175% damage with 4 steps, but umbral and radiance do over 300% damage at 4 steps. This can be tested on THF with Aeonic just doing Rudra -> Rudra on a UNM that doesn't take extra or reduced magic damage, then doing the same with am3 up and see how it's twice as much for umbral as it was for darkness. Example: Darkness from Rudra -> Rudra and closing Rudra does 30k, darkness will do 30k. Doing the exact same thing with am3 up will yield a 60k umbral. Atrixwolfe (talk) 03:55, 14 June 2016 (UTC)

Well, Umbra and Radiance copy final WS damage 2x. Normal "Double" Light and Darkness are a 1x translation. So what you're seeing the the bolded part of the formula being different:
Skillchain damage = ( Closing Damage × (Skillchain Level/Number from Table) × (1 + Skillchain Bonus÷100) + Magic Damage ) × (1 + Skillchain Damage+%/100) × (1 + Day/Weather bonuses) × (1 + Staff Affinity) × (iLevel/Resistance Damage Bonus) × (Monster magic damage reductions) × (iLevel/Resistance Damage Bonus)
For Light and Darkness (a T3, even though it functions like a T4) that number is 1.0 for a 2-step. For Radiance and Umbra (proper T4s), that number is 2.0.
Pay really close attention, and you will see that you're getting a 210% increase. (As it's only 10%, I can see why it was overlooked as that won't be as much of a difference as the 2x multiplier.)

As for where the values came from, they were tested on the Aeonic Mega Thread in the forums. ^^ -- FaeQueenCory (talk) 12:58, 14 June 2016 (UTC)
