Allies' Roll Testing

After some preliminary testing by Aurara, Stepth and I went out to Terrigan to test this out. I was DNC/NIN using AF3+2 hands (+30 Skillchain Bonus) except when noted. This is what we found (Wild Flourish -> Evisc -> Skillchain on Earth/Watersdays):

  • 1: 1519 -> 1001 +2%
  • 2: 1372 -> 912 +3%
  • 3: 1267 -> 949 +20% (no DNC AF3+2 hands is 1371 -> 959 +20% still)
  • 4: 1419 -> 957 +5%
  • 5: 1972 -> 1350 +7%
  • 6: 1222 -> 849 +9%
  • 7: 1324 -> 933 +11%
  • 8: 1742 -> 1245 +13%
  • 9: 1508 -> 1093 +15%
  • 10: 1770 -> 1159 +1%
  • 11: 1434->1075 +20% (no DNC AF3+2 hands is 1315 -> 952, +25%, so this roll hits the cap)
  • Bust : 491 -> 232 -5% (COR, no skillchain bonus)

Navarch's Gants +2 Testing:

  • 1: 1082 -> 687 (COR+2, not DNC+2)
  • 5: 1461 -> 1036 +12% (COR+2, DNC+2)
  • 7: 1719 -> 1254 +16% (COR+2, DNC+2)
  • 7: 1563 -> 1368 +16%/+20% (COR+2, DNC+2, COR+2 feet with Light Shot)

So, first off, if you run through the above numbers it becomes evident pretty quickly that this roll gives Skillchain Bonus. The numbers come out much nicer. We only tested a few points, but it seems pretty conclusive that COR AF3+2 hands gives +5 Skillchain Bonus on top of any kind of roll, which is consistent with the static +effect from their other AF3+2 pieces. Lastly, there's strong evidence for a 50% Skillchain Bonus cap with the 11 roll, and COR AF3+2 feet definitely enhance skillchain related damage as long as it's the proper element, even if the shot itself doesn't do damage. --Byrthnoth 13:35, 26 June 2011 (EDT)

Ring testing

  • 642 Gust Slash -> 417 Detonation (without roll against a Beach Bunny in Terrigan) = 30% native bonus
  • 575 Gust Slash -> 484 Detonation (with XI roll and +5 ring against a Beach Bunny in Terrigan) = 30% skillchain bonus and 30% native bonus (two steps)

So the ring adds +1% skillchain bonus per +1 roll. --Byrthnoth (talk) 10:22, 6 July 2014 (EDT)
