Talk:Bashmu

From FFXI Wiki

Easy kill with 7 solid players. PLD WHM BLU BLU GEO COR // GEO.

BLUs simply meleed it to death. Didn't test exact accuracy, but I was capped with buffs at about 1500. No Idris GEOs, but both BLUs were well geared. As with all manners of zerging the DDs are the keystone.

Outside party GEO does Vex and Frailty. COR does samurai and chaos rolls. Inside GEO does Accumen and Topor with an entrust of Fury.

Light SC also can remove the ice spikes effect. Have the WHM reapply buffs as needed, and wait out the physical shield. Didn't even worry about asking the GEOs to nuke while the shield was up because melee buffs are on. Wouldn't hurt to spam T1s until it is off though.

Overall, it was very easy to melee for us, but I could see this being entirely disastrous in a PUG. --Spicyryan (talk) 07:04, 7 March 2016 (UTC)

Safely and easily done with PUP/SMN/COR. Puppetmaster tanking, summoner doing most of the damage, corsair providing buffs. Exclusively used Ramuh- Volt Strike, then swap to Thunderstorm when his Physical Shield is up. Fights took between 7-11 minutes, no 1-hours, simply wore him down. Recommend if possible to position automaton on Bashmu's tail. Resulted in faster fights as he would use Serpentine Tail more and shields less. --Safiyyah (talk) 14:13, 31 January 2019 (EST)

    • Simple low man strategy - 1 melee job typically we use a Mythic/relic Warrior, however there is a wide variety of melee jobs who can easily break 1 of Bashmu's head - [non Idris 900 geo] uses melee buffs for the break, and then switches to mage buffs after. PUP is best here as u do not need a healer PLD is usually great with remedies and geo healing, pre cast cor buffs if possible for pet and mages [completely doable without]. After head breaks Sch SC, Blm nuke, melee hang out to break next head. We have done this with many set ups and is much easier/faster than waiting for Magic Shields and Helix.

PUP/SCH/BLM/BLM/GEO/melee [or any combination] with a melee.
