Talk:Long-Bowed Chariot

From FFXI Wiki

"As HP is depleted, LBC gains the ability to double and triple attack, as well as a greater overall resistance to physical and magical damage." Where is this information from? -- Vistani

More like, talk about where is your information from? Ever tanked any chariot type mobs? Reverting to Physical damage for Discharge & Inertia Stream--bring some screenshots/information showing it's magical damage and we'll talk. As for the 'hp down -> resistance & double/triple attack up' part, that doesn't seem to be the case either.--Genosync 03:06, 3 October 2007 (CDT)

Clearly far more than you have, lol. What exactly suggests to you that they're physical damage? They don't interrupt magic, they never miss, shell reduces the damage taken noticably. I don't see how you can think any of these are physical when even at a glance you can see they show no relation to defense etc, which you would often see with counterstanced monks. What exactly suggests to you that it's physical when all signs point to magical? And apart from anything else LBC doesn't have triple attack at all.--Vistani

'And apart from anything else LBC doesn't have triple attack at all.' < Yeah, I knew that was wrong, I was agreeing with you it was wrong there, and apparently Wafik's telling me I'm wrong too, although the time I remember using a fool's drink I didn't take zero damage from the moves (if I'm remembering correctly). So I don't know exactly what to put them at.--Genosync 09:16, 3 October 2007 (CDT)

Fools drinks do not stop magic damage, they give you immunity to magical spells, i.e. Soandso casts Blizzard IV. Soandso resists the spell. Fanatic drinks work on all TP moves whether magical or physical, including stopping status effects. Inertia Stream/Discharge are magic based, both shell/magic damage taken -% work against them.--Vistani
