  • I went in as BLU/WHM without expecting to win and beat it in around 13 minutes. Just reraise and cast AOE and buffs. Wait through double-weak on 2nd 10k needles with a Dia on it. At 10% I tried to Burst Affinity Spectral Floe for the win but only got him to 2%, a /heal got me through the last move for the win. I was using darkness based spells since I wasn't expecting to win and they seemed to get half-resists all the time so other elements probably fare better. --Mudcake (talk) 06:29, 26 November 2016 (UTC)
  • I have only found solo success on SMN/RDM. At Master SMN with Nirvana and typical high-end gear, I begin by cycling buffs; reraise from Cait Sith, first. After all the buffs, I start with either Ramuh or Ifrit, and I get off a level 1 or 2 GoB. When the fomors are summoned, I AOE them with Ramuh. If I'm using Ifrit, I just take it on the chin. I then do an AFAC. Ifrit seems to be more powerful here, and can ususally get Odin down to below 9%, which means he gets KO'd after. Then I usually get drawn in. Here's where it gets tricky. The goal is to already have Odin far enough away from his start that if he follows up with another 1-hitter-quitter, I can raise safely and re-summon. If I don't get KO'd, I have to quickly re-summon and try to finish Odin off. My success rate with this strategy is about 80%. -- Galkapryme, Asura 10:39, 3 November 2022
