Survey Quests
I blitzed a mule through Scout's up to Legend and made two observations about survey quests.
First, the reward for these quests do vary based on zone, but I'm not sure there are Locus-specific rewards. You are, however, rewarded more for points that have been surveyed less. Talking to the Taru near the mission counter, the rewards are something like:
- "have yet to be conducted" = Max (typically 2x the amount listed on the page, but not for Kamihr Drifts)
- "have just begun" = -1.2k
- "started gathering steam" = -2.4k
- "progressing splendidly" = -3.6k
- "progressed to a great degree" = -4.8k
It takes about 2 surveys to move between levels.
Second, each point seems to have 4 game-hour "windows" and the appropriate distance is +/- 0.1 of a certain value. Also, the Distance addon uses math.round(), I think, so sometimes you can be at 1.0 but you're actually at 0.95 away. There's a little wiggle there. --Byrthnoth (talk) 22:24, 8 May 2017 (EDT)
