Strategy

Not so easy duo by a well geared COR and BLU with apururu (US), august, balamour, murmor II trusts. --Spicyryan (talk) 00:32, 15 August 2015 (EDT)

Not sure what made this "not so easy", but the fight is not hard for modestly geared players, just bring a healer. --Spicyryan (talk) 22:06, 14 June 2018 (EDT)

3-years later (RDM/NIN, 100JP Solo)

6/14/18 Fairly easy solo as an average geared RDM/NIN (only 100ish JP) with Apururu, August, Selh'teus, Iroha II, and Nashmiera II. Nashmiera was useless and went down like a snowball in summer. Kept SS and Shadows up, stayed behind Hades. Lots of curagas from Apururu and aoe heals from Iroha II and Selh'teus. It wasn't close by any means, but I think all the AOE healing helped a lot. I did have to drop a few cure IV's on August and Iroha II --Lolmeleerdm (talk) 17:10, 14 June 2018 (EDT)

SCH/RDM Solo

Gear: Ambuscade NQ and other slots under-geared, 7 JP (^_^;)

Attempts: Cleared on 4th, 22 minutes

Trusts: Trion, Apururu (UC), Semih Lafihna, Iroha II, Selh'teus

What happened in clear attempt:

  1. Summoned trusts, buff with Accession and Perpetuance enhanced Adloquium, and then Accession and Perpetuance enhanced Regen IV. Target AoE buffs to trust, so they will hit Arciela
  2. Ran in (but not engage), let Arciela or Teodor get aggro
  3. Positioned tank such that trusts and NPCs don't get hit with frontal AoEs
  4. Kept Helix, Bio II and Poison II up, stayed in Light Arts and MB once a while
  5. Despite focusing on keeping tank alive, he still died half-way through due to weakness from Bane of Tartarus
  6. Apururu (UC) ran out of MP at some point, despite Convert
  7. At this point, various trusts and NPC will bounce aggro; focused on keeping everyone alive
  8. Hades used Bane of Tartarus again at some point (maybe 25%), this time only Selh'teus and Semih Lafihna remained
  9. While constantly healing Arciela with Rapture enhanced Cure IV, Hades begun permanently aggro'ed to me
  10. Rest of fight was me staying alive with heal spam and letting Arciela, Semih Lafihna and Teodor whittle Hades down

Fight overall is manageable until tank trust dies, then it's all very fluid depends on what trusts you have left. Difficulty was on par with Rhapsodies of Vanadiel Mission 3-34. Maybe slightly higher due to needing to babysit NPCs.

Since there're NPCs in this fight, make sure you have Reraise III so you can re-summon trusts and continue fight if you die. Though, I did not die in my final attempt (died every attempt prior).

The biggest headaches in the fight were:

  1. Status attacks: Make sure you bring a stack of Echo Drops for each attempt
  2. Hades will periodically go completely resistant to magic so nothing will land
  3. Despite my best effort, I was unable to keep tank trust alive once he's hit with weakness since HP pool is so small; maybe a sturdier tank trust will work but I don't have others like AAEV, Amchuchu or August
  4. I attempted to stay in Dark Arts for more damage but concluded it's more important to stay in Light Arts to keep trusts alive as long as possible

THF/DNC (about average beginner 119 gear, a few ambuscade pieces) trusts: AAEV, Amchuchu, Iroha II, Koru-Moru, Yoran-Oran (UC)

pretty strait forward, need to attack then disengage and kinda nudge AAEV to the other side of the party before reengaging so the frontal AoE don't kill your NPC helpers and your party members. After that it's just simple THF stuff, start with bully+SATA+WS AAEV then TA+WS on AAEV when TA is up, SA+WS from the back and probably colloberate/accomplice amchuchu if he's not out front with AAEV.

Super Easy PUP OD

Took it the easy way out on my PUP mule (500JP, average gear) and Overdrove? Overdrived? it. Overdrive, deploy, pretty much go afk (except the maneuvers) Lolmeleerdm (talk) 14:16, 4 May 2020 (EDT)

Pretty Easy

Went on DD BLU/DNC (oops didn't change subjob) just some basic ambuscade gear and Eletta sword. Trusts used were AAEV, AAGK, Selh'teus, King of Hearts, and Apururu (UC). Besides using Might Guard at the beginning...nothing special was done. 8/6/22

THF/WAR Solo

This thing was a bit of a joke (mostly on me, to be fair). Went into it thinking it was going to be another Cloud of Darkness. Immediately realized I didn't bring any Echo Drops. Assumed the first run was doomed. Nope. Was a little dicey at times but spent 95% of the fight just face tanking him on Valaineral while I just Eviscerated its ass. (A-Thank you!)

Final thoughts: Easy peasy lemon squeezy.

THF/DNC solo

Maintain haste samba, Eviscerate it to death, or skillchain with Iroha, doesn't really matter.

SpicyChai @ Bahamut || March 2024 || MNK/WAR (Moderate Merits, 10JP, NQ Ambuscade Mummu Gear, Condemners DI Weapon)

Trusts: Vala / Apururu / Koru Moru / King of Hearts / Joachim

Strategy: Just focused on doing as much damage as possible to kill it before it killed us, though took 8 minutes for the total fight. The 5m MNK rotation I used was: 1) Warcry, Aggressor, Focus, Impetus and Howling Fist spam for 3 minutes, 2) Footwork and Tornado Kick spam for 1 minute, then 3) Downtime for 1 minute, and repeat step 1 of rotation. In the midst of everything, I used Chi Blast on cooldown to try and limit its TP, and used Mantra around 50% HP remaining when it was spamming a lot of moves and Apururu had to use Convert. Towards the last 10% Joachim unfortunately died and it got a bit tight but we made it, I used Inner Strength as emergency but didn't get to use Thousand Fists since it was still on CD from Teodor's BCNM. Wasn't nearly as difficult as Dothmak. -- 14 March 2024‎ Espresso
