<Jakary> Trio'd with 2 Nin/War and a Whm/Rdm (all well geared veterans). went through the west side of the first floor, only hitting the essentials, the first 3 ramparts, and the 4 that appear in the hammerblow majanun (or however you spell it) room. went up and had like 7 charges on the lamp, so unlocked everything that we missed on last floor, then moved on. only killed the 2 ramparts in the NW section of the center to unlock hp/mp and dex/agi/str. then went up to the 3rd floor on the NW pad. 3rd floor didnt use the lamp at all, went on to fight 1 group of flayers, then moved on to the middle, and just kept going to the west side. killed one rampart of gears (3 singles and a trio) unlocked most of the gear left over, then went to fight a second rampart full of gears, then moved on. LAC rampart aggro'd one of us so they kited it while one of us went up a floor. used the lamp to unlock one of our rings/earrings or back/waist, then moved on, skipping the entire floor to the end. in the center of the 4th floor was a rampart that popped the NQ boss (tested 3 times and every time it has popped. each time we didn't aggro a single rampart on 4F), had one ninja take the rampart away and the other would start fighting the Dvergr. buffs:pro/shell, haste, boost-AGI, Auspice, Kakka, Myoshu, food(Tav taco or Tav salad) and shadows of course. at first the Dvergr wouldn't make an attempt to get within melee range as per most mage-type mobs out there, so whoever had hate would back up out of range to save shadows. Dvergr resisted all debuffs, so no sense in wasting tools or mp on it (no immunobreak chances either). basically bounced hate back and forth between the 2 ninjas. whoever was on the backside did the fighting. attacks were pretty accurate, EVA setup definitely advised**. tends to have a high fast cast rate, can instant cast most debuffs (sleepga2, sleep2, blind, poisonga2, etc) as well as little to no casting time on elemental spells (t4-t5 and AM with the occasional firaga3). used thundris shriek maybe once the entire fight when below 10~30%, most of the time it was either hellclap or the one ability that does curse and paralyze. was a pretty slow fight (8~12 minutes) but we beat him, only got 1 45 piece to drop, no purse or 2nd piece. after that we went up to the boss floor (5F) where a rampart was at the top, when we entered the room, it opened it's door and spawned the HQ boss: Bloodthirsty Dvergr, then the rampart depopped. so we rebuff and renew reraise, and proceed to attack in a pincer formation. Jak >Boss< Dae, kinda like a SATA setup. did the same thing we did with the NQ boss, the fight of course was a little slower, 10-15 minutes, due to him being harder and i died halfway through. he can instant cast nukes (t5 elemental and AM, and a more frequent firaga 3) and debuffs. also seemed to know when we ran out of shadows because he would instant cast a nuke as he was hitting that last shadow off. used thundris shriek a couple times which wipes shadows and terrorizes us. but eventually we beat it. all 3 times got 1 45 component, and a linen purse (of course no TH). after we beat the boss we had about 6~14 minutes to spare. <Jan 2, 2013>

Bloodthirsty Dvergr (SSRII East Path)

Soloable by PUP/NIN using Valoredge Frame + Soulsoother Head (I use the disconnection trick to enter alone.) Interesting note: Bloodthirsty Dvergr seems to consistantly run out of MP about 8-9 min into the fight, making the fight much easy and open to an exhaustive-type strategy for other solo jobs. The NQ Dvergr doesn't seem to do this, and is more difficult to solo for this reason.
