BLU/WAR Solo Strategy

BLU/WAR - moderately geared (non REMA, non Colada) ~Asura.Technicz

Nice to haves:

• -DT set with about 20-30% PDT and MDT when you need to turtle up for trusts to heal you
• Decent TP set so you can self skillchain
• Decent WS set so you can boost your CDC/Savage Blade damage (my low end was 2000 and high end was 13000)

Trusts setup:

• Uka Totlihn for Haste Samba (JA haste to help delay cap)
• King Of Hearts for RDM goodness and his high HP values to survive
• Nashmeira or Prishe II for Curaga 5
• Selhteus for Rejuvination which keeps everyones MP high (my trusts went OOM without him)
• Yoran Oran (UC) for high single target cures with skin

Buffs:

• Red Curry Bun (I was 92% acc at 1150 when swapping between TP set and -DT set; likely the offset of 3% was due to -DT set turtle mode)
• Erratic Flutter
• Occultation
• Mighty Guard
• Cocoon
• Nat Meditation
• Berserk (when available)
• Warcry (when available)

Strategy:

• Melee strike him and use Sweeping Gouge/Tenebral Crush for Defense Down, and King of Hearts should also open with Dia 3
• Mostly a tank and spank fight where you just spam CDC
• Hope for an early Blue !! proc, and also hope for continuous Blue !! procs as you pummel him with CDC and self skillchains
• Blue !! proc can occur multiple times on the NM, even sometimes proccing him a second time while he was mid-proc of the first one
• Lowest proc damage I noticed was 5800 on a small end CDC hit
• Only noticeable "reset" of the proc that could be theorized was after my King of Hearts magic bursted with Firaga 4 (speculative)

• Keep Cocoon up as much as possible since his auto attacks hurt
• I would occasionally refresh Occultation when I had a moment between self skillchains
• I would toggle between TP set and DT set when I saw him performing TP moves; spells aren't that bad, especially if Occultation is up
• Decollation is the worst element he can swap to (Thunder) due to Shock Spikes, and constant stuns as BLU
• Highest stun duration was 30 seconds, so being able to swap to -DT is very useful to live during this
• Wings of Gehenna is annoying due to knockback and stun, so put your back to the wall for an easier time
• Blank Gaze was resisted all the time for me, even with my Magic Accuracy swap ins (mostly Jhakri), but I did not test with 2x Nibiru Cudgels

• If he never uses Decollation or Wings of Gehenna, he usually dies pretty fast
• Bloodrake can do some considerable damage if you aren't in -DT gear and he's hit you a few times; highest I saw was a 1400 in my TP set
