Escha - Zi'Tah

hey! I'm not sure if what I did is what you were intending to do... but I think it was? With the E!Zi'Tah page's Gaes Fete NM chart?
You wanted to have the fae each have a separate box. -- FaeQueenCory (talk) 08:17, 3 August 2015 (EDT)

What you did certainly works! I was just wondering if there was a way to list multiple NM names in the same box, or if you had to create a whole seperate box, like you did. It's easy enough to read like it is, though, so I don't think there is an issue. --Apala (talk) 16:08, 3 August 2015 (EDT)

Not to toot my own horn...
Toot toot toot!
But I'm good at manipulating charts to make them do fun stuff like that. And I think that's a nice idea! Especially since they all pop together and are a "cluster" NM of a sort.
The page uses referential templates for the charts on it (eg: all the {{}} ) so to manipulate it in such a way to create nested boxes ala:

Names Stuff Other Stuff
Alpha bluh bluh
Beta
Gamma

Which is what you are suggesting, no?
Well in order to do that, one would have to dig up the NM template and do one of two things:
1) edit it such that it will support such a templating
2) create a duplicative template that's formatted like that (you could probably do it directly on the page... But... That's overly compicated and much more time consuming than just duplicating a preexisting template and reformatting it to what you need.)

I'll scrounge up the template to see what can be done specifically, but what you're after is more than doable. ^^ (if potentially time consuming lol)

Actually, I'll try something out that may make it easy on the page without messing with any templates.... But it might not work. -- FaeQueenCory (talk) 23:25, 3 August 2015 (EDT)

That is exactly what I was suggesting! I just don't happen to have much of a knack for coding stuffs, and that definitely includes manipulating tables... I'm more of a researching kinda gal.

If you could figure it out without it being too much trouble, that would be wonderful, because they do pop like a multi-NM, not really separate, and you have to kill them all for the treasure pool items, so... it's kinda weird, compared to the rest of the Geas Fete stuff. But, if you have to destroy and rebuild a whole template, it might be worth it to leave them as they are in their separate lil boxes.

IF there is a way to just create a break in the name when in the original template, so you can just put a link to the second two [ NM name= Bucca (break thing or whatever) Puca, and Alphuachra ] I think that would work well... but I have zero idea on how to do that. --Apala (talk) 04:11, 4 August 2015 (EDT)

Sadly, the way the template is formatted (so a contributor doesn't have to add the [[]]) that wouldn't be feasible without having to go to EVERY page that it's used on and adding the brackets by hand... and ain't nobody got time for that! XD
So instead I made a new template off the old one, and instead of doing nested boxes, like above, I went with your suggestion to just have the names be in the single box. I tried it with breaks at first, but then remembered the midots and I think the midots work better with the rest of the page.
But it's all done and hope you like it. ^^ can tweak it if you'd like to try something different. -- FaeQueenCory (talk) 08:50, 4 August 2015 (EDT)

No, it's perfect :D Yay! And I can just view the coding on it if I ever have to do it again (like with this new area coming on tonight) --Apala (talk) 02:01, 5 August 2015 (EDT)
