The song is a vocal arrangement based on [[Vana'diel March]]. The music was composed by [[Naoshi Mizuta]] and performed by RiRiKA (who had been a FFXI player herself) and MARiE of Phantasmagoric. The lyrics were written by [[Yaeko Sato]].<br />

Square requested that players submit emails with recordings of their voice. Mizuta said that a little under 700 total players submitted samples and that editing and mixing of their vocals took about a week. Mizuta estimated about 20-30% of submissions were from western players and 60% of them were male. The players whose samples were used were listed in the credits in-game.<br />
