	Only shitty RUNs don't DD in Omen, so the scenario you suggest is something of a paradox. Unless no one needs cards, I would suggest having the COR (and/or a RNG, which works pretty well on this boss as a DD closing Light off of a SCH's fusion, from which the RUN then has the option of closing double Light for an additional MB opportunity) go /DNC and help with objectives on the way up, along with the RUN/DRK helping out with WS objectives. --[[User:Kyte\|Kyte]] ([[User talk:Kyte\|talk]]) 02:22, 6 March 2017 (EST)

	While it is very easy for me to survive with Epeo and Phalanx in DT gear, most RUNs or PLDs need someone to toss cures and that is where I consider it from It is easier for a BRD or COR to do, especially in a PUG where their DPS only matters on the midboss. The SCH also isn't doing Fusion on the MB, and RUN can close light off Fusion with Dimidation easily while /BLU for the run unless the RUN sucks. Geist wall is needed for controlling pulls in general for the event. Having a bunch of mages sucks for doing objectives so we just generally -ga and go up.

	*Arcana Killer and Arcane Circle function as okay damage mitigation tools on the boss, while Stun is a good extra hate tool. You could also make a case for Seigan/Third Eye.
	*Obviously in your scenario, the SCH is doing Fragmentation- but if you do bring a RNG (which is a superior setup assuming someone doesn't want BLM cards), then letting them be the primary DD is a faster method. Trueflight+Light wrecks it.
	*While I may be one of /BLU's biggest fans in general, Geist Wall isn't actually needed to gain hate on a pull. Simply have someone Sleepga/Lullaby, then Regen that person, followed by Foil.

	Speaking of single target hate tools is silly. There should be no issue holding hate on Kei with nothing except RUN only spells and abilities. Stun is unexceptional in this regard. As far as /DRK for arcane circle the best use could be for three minutes of a small buff. It is 5% subbed and IIRC it is halved or so in potency on NMs. It won't be of consequence.

	Sure you can bring RNGs, but the point of the setup was rapid SC magic burst killing from a SCH 1H. Not coordinating RNGs to SC and keep the regen down so they can DD. Unless there is information about the shield the wiki page needs.

	Not saying either setup is right or wrong, it isn't about that, but I thought we were discussing changing one pt spot, and not a whole new setup. From the get-go I said the jobs are MBing frag with thunder damage. True Flight isn't going to work for that as it is frag. Last stand would, but that defeats the purpose of the buffs. Even then If the MB was changed to fusion on Kin then I can keep up TP and close lights with Dimindation without much issue, and another BLM could come. 	Changing a SCH's Fragmentation to a Fusion is hardly changing the "entire" setup, and I didn't initially mention as it should be implied. As for hypotheticals, Trueflight+Light do about 140k damage (I'm not assuming perfect augments or Gastra). As for the regen, that should be the GEO's job.

	Either proposed setup will get the boss down (I've done various permutations of both), but one with 2-3 more usable jobs (referring to the potential substitution of a BLM for a RNG, and changing the subjobs for the COR and/or RUN to something more DD-centric) has the distinct advantage of allowing you to not skip objectives on the way up- again, assuming people get to be on jobs they actually want cards on. You also don't necessarily need to make ''all'' of these changes to enable it.

	As for the use of stun (as a hate tool)- a pure nuking strategy wouldn't make much use of it, but if you added in a ranger, they will be drawing high levels of enmity due to the SC damage. That said, you can also correct that issue with Caper Emissarius.

	I also don't have dedicated RNGs and you won't find PUG RNGs that really fit that criteria at this time. Always wondered what it be like to use one in a strategy instead of a shitty one that wants to join for cards because "I leikz being pew-pew green outfits". Took a well geared RNG to close with True Flight, and not only was it not nearly doing 140k, let alone 100k (try 40ish tops), but Kei certainly doesn't take fire MBs nearly as well as Thunder which is a night and day difference in their damage. 	Doesn't change the fact that that you need a serious Ranger and fire nukes preform very poorly. Timing needs to be in sync between the SCH, RNG, and BLMs so they can do Thunder on the light SC. The RNG isn't going to carry the team on its back here regardless of a 99k SC or not. If this process isn't being done before the animations are flying off then yes the window is limited since the fusion SC is worthless to the BLMs. So no, I don't personally find this practical, but that is just me. It is an effective option, but less effective than something simpler and straight to the point. Like a SCH using Tabula and spamming Frag for the BLMs to MB thunder off of. Any group can do that without complicating the process.

	You can see above that I explicitly said "Trueflight+Light do about 140k damage." I don't think that's particularly ambiguous, particularly given the game's damage cap. And although unneeded, the RNG could potentially carry the team with that kind of damage output (again, not theoretical- I've done it with RUN GEO COR SCH SCH RNG before). If you look around on youtube, you can see videos of a few rather mediocre groups doing just this- although a couple of them take a pretty long time so they aren't a great example.
