Expeditionary Force Beastman.png

Expeditionary Force operations are exciting battle content pitting teams of adventurers of Vana'diel against teams of Beastmen for the glory and conquest of the various regions of Quon and Mindartia.

Getting Started

Eligibility Requirements

In order to participate, players must satisfy the following:

  • Each player must have attained Rank 3 or higher in their affiliated Home Nation.
  • The minimum number of players required to initiate an operation depends on the Conquest ranking of Windurst, Bastok, and San d'Oria.
    • For a First Place ranked nation: at least 6 people are required.
    • For a Second Place ranked nation: at least 5 people are required.
    • For a Third Place ranked nation: at least 4 people are required.
      • All required party members must be in the same zone in order for any member sign up.
      • For alliances, each party must have this minimum number requirement at the time of signing up for the operation. (This is only checked upon signing up, so one party fulfilling the minimum requirement may sign up and transfer to an allianced party for that group to be able to sign up.)
  • Players may only participate in operations for their affiliated Home Nation.

Once your required sized party has gathered together, each member must speak to a Conquest Overseer and request to begin the Expeditionary Force Operation.

Progression

Each member of the party must receive "Expedition Force" status from a Conquest Overseer.
All required party members must be in the same zone in order for any member to receive the status.
Once all members have received the status, speaking to the Conquest Overseer allows the player to be instantly teleported to the desired zone, and gives a Gate Glyph corresponding to the zone with the Conquest Overseer used to initiate the operation as well as a "Expeditionary Force Insignia" temporary Key Item specific to the region chosen.

As long as a player possesses the "Expeditionary Force Insignia" Key Item, any chests and coffers opened in the appropriate region will increase a player's affiliated nation's influence rank for that region.
The "Expeditionary Force Insignia" is lost at the next Conquest Tally.

Each zone has a minimum level requirement and a maximum level cap.
The ultimate goal in an Expeditionary Force Operation is to locate a Beastmen's Banner, at one of five possible locations in the specific zone; and upon finding said Banner, defeat the four random Notorious Monsters that are spawned upon clicking the banner.

Note that the Beastman's Banners do not appear on Wide Scan.

Please note: Any player not within range of the Beastmen's Banner will not receive any credit for the operation when the NMs are spawned.
The level cap status is applied only when the Notorious Monsters are spawned, and can be removed upon all four NMs being vanquished, by quickly examining the Beastmen's Banner before it disappears. If not dismissed by clicking the Banner, the level capped status will remain for 15 minutes or until the player zones.
Please note: Not being in proximity to the Beastmen's Banner will still yield the level capped status, even though receiving the title "Expeditionary Trooper" would not be awarded.

Once all four Notorious Monsters are defeated, the Expeditionary Force Operations is at an end.
Any possible rewards that may be achieved, aside from the limit/experience points from the NMs, are awarded after the next conquest tally.
See Rewards below.

Locations

In order for a location to be able to be selected for an operation it must have been previously visited, and neither your affiliated home nation nor a nation in a Conquest alliance with your affiliated home nation may control the zone.

The possible locations of the Beastmen Banner, level range, and possible family of the Notorious monsters spawned are as such:

Rewards

Any player who participated in an Expeditionary Force Operation in an area during the week; upon the next conquest tally, should that zone change control to that player's nation, a bonus reward of Conquest Points will be given to the player the next time they speak to a Conquest Overseer.
Eg: Should a Windurstian player participate in an Expeditionary Force Operation in the Derfland region, and in the following conquest tally Derfland is under the control of Windurst; that player will receive a large amount of Conquest Points the next time they speak to a Conquest Overseer in their home nation.
Please note: Receiving this reward need not be done immediately and will be given regardless should another conquest tally pass and the zone changes control.

The amount of Conquest Points rewarded depends on how many regions a player participated in an Expeditionary Force Operation in that are now controlled by that player's affiliated nation.

Number of Regions Conquest Points
1 3,000
2 4,200
3 4,800
4 5,160
5 5,430
6 5,700
7 6,105
8 7,320
