Garrison Header.png

Upon finding an encoded Beastman message, an adventurer can trade it to an Outpost guard to help defend them against a surprise attack by the beastmen.

After trading the trigger item to the guard, friendly NPCs will spawn around the outpost and groups of enemies will attack them. The number of allied NPCs and enemies is based on the number of players in the alliance.

Enemies will attack in 4 waves, starting out with small numbers and leading up to a final wave with a boss.

The Garrison battle will end if all enemies, all NPC defenders, or all party members are defeated, or after the 30 minute time limit expires.

Restrictions

  • Any Trusts will be dismissed as soon as the Garrison is initiated, and cannot be re-summoned while under the Level restriction.
  • If a party member is KO'd during the Garrison, they will no longer be able to participate, as the Level Restriction will be lost.
  • Characters outside of the Level Restriction cannot interact with other players that are under the Level Restriction effect, such as curing, etc. They can, however, raise KO'd party members that have lost the restriction.
  • A Garrison cannot occur in the same area a Ballista has been initiated; this includes all three in-game days of entries, the match itself, and the closing of the event.
  • A player can only trade the item to start a Garrison once per Conquest Tally, regardless of zone.
  • The allegiance of the player must match the Outpost guard in order to trade the item.
  • There is a 30 minute cool-down period between Garrisons in the same zone.
  • Participants have 30 minutes to complete a Garrison, or it will end in failure and enemies will retreat.
  • Enemies will automatically be aggressive to friendly NPCs, and will immediately begin attacking them upon initiation of the Garrison event. If all NPCs are slain, the Garrison is deemed a failure.
  • Any buffs will not wear off when the Garrison commences.

Rewards

  • The player who initiated the Garrison must talk to the Outpost guard after all enemies are defeated to collect the rewards.
  • All Garrison battles will reward Miratete's Mem./Dragon Chronicles and up to 10,000 Gil in addition to equipment listed in the table below.
  • Number of rewards increases based on number of NPCs alive after defeating all enemy waves.
  • In addition to the equipment rewarded for successful completion, garrison enemies at any level cap have direct drops including:

Solo Strategies

  • The main reason to solo these is to defeat enemies that drop the Mannequin Legs and Mannequin Feet.
    • You can earn the Mannequin parts without winning the Garrison battle itself.
  • The Cape Teriggan Garrison does not have a level restriction and pits you against level 75 enemies. If the Kuzotz region is under your nation's control, this is the easiest route for any job.
  • Access to Cure or Waltz is recommended for keeping Garrison NPCs alive.
  • Buffs used before the Garrison starts will be retained.
  • Destrier Beret will be active while level capped at 20 or 30, and provides a movement speed bonus
  • Any ilvl equipment tends to scale well under Level Sync due to the increase on all base stats.
  • Strategy for PUP
    • Similar to level 30 BCNMs: grab aggro and kite using your destrier beret while commanding your tank automaton to focus on defeating individual beastmen.
  • Strategy for RDM
    • You may need up to 20 minutes to finish all waves, extend your buff durations as much as possible.
    • Tank everything with Phalanx and Cure the npcs.
    • Once the beastmen are attacking you, melee them down with enspell damage.
