Post September 2019 update:

I went out and tested to make sure SE didn't screw up changing this from a merit spell to bought.

Testing was done using the Atonement method.

Atonement DMG is equal to [(CE + VE) / 6] - 1 with caps in place for iLvl but were not building enough for that to matter.

  • It does seem to round down if .49 or lower, or round up if .50 or higher before the -1 at the end.

Palisade: 900 CE

Control: 1,550 / 6 - 1 = 257 DMG (Checked out in-game.) Dirge (No + Song): 1,550 x 0.68 / 6 - 1 = 175 (Checked out in game too.) So Dirge is -32 still. Dirge (Song +7): 175 in game so it still does nothing for it.

Did a few more test using JAs, and gear. Marcuto and SV still do what they should to it and there is still the overall cap of -50 Enmity between the song and gear.

tl;dr They didn't mess up. It's maxed out at -32 like it would of been pre-update with 5/5 merits and hand augment. Darvamos{Chiaia} (talk) 12:09, 25 September 2019 (EDT)
