5/5 | Dark Seal is especially useful for higher end content with Nether Void as it increases your dark magic accuracy, but does not impact potency. The augmented relic head will increase the duration of a Dark Sealed spell by 10% per merit level. This boils down to a longer Drain III HP boost which is why you 5/5 this. |

Support Jobs
- Samurai is usually the go to option to maximize DPS.
- Thief Useful for Sneak Attack Torcleaver for high weaponskill damage and skillchain in shorter fights.
- Ninja is great for defensive purpose, and kaja axe dual wield builds.
- Runefencer is another defensive support job for tanking or defendive purposes.
- White Mage, Red Mage and Scholar could be useful for lowman, solo or party without good support.
Weaponskills
Dark knight has access to variety of weaponskills which are useful for different situations.
Great Sword
By far Dark Knights best weaponskill. For this, you would want to stack as much VIT and WSDMG as you can. It also scales extremely well with TP overflow, so the higher the TP you use this weaponskill at, the more damage you get out of it. Pair this up with Caladbolg and you are most likely going to be pulling hate from any tank in the game. Even in solo practice, spamming light skillchains will do insane damage to mobs that aren't light based.
Dark Knights second best weaponskill. But that does not mean it doesn't do damage. Resolution can do insane spike damage, though if your first hit in the weaponskill misses, you will see a major drop in damage. The only real use of this weaponskill is for mobs that absorb light damage from Torcleaver skillchain spam, or when you do not want to skillchain with other weaponskills as it's skillchain properties don't skillchain with most other "meta" weaponskills.
Outside of an accuracy swap or unbuffed situations, using Ragnarok just isn't that good on Dark Knight. But with that being said, it can still pump out a lot of DPS on things that take really good damage on light skillchains, as Scourge is a really great skillchain linker for Great Swords on Dark Knight.
It's a Sleepga weaponskill, not much more to say. Use it for larger pulls to make it easier for cures and tanking. A full set of Flamma +2 from Ambuscade and Magic Accuracy and Accuracy in all other slots will land this on most fodder mobs. If you want to whittle mobs down with this AoE, you can use a full set of Relic Reforge +2 or +3.
Low damage ice weaponskill. It can paralyze mobs that you use it on, but it's not very potent to anything with a slight resistance to paralyze. It can give you an offensive edge though, so use it on anything that's worthwhile.
Scythe
Great Axe
Full Break (Hepatizon Axe or Hepatizon Axe +1 only)
This weaponskill can put some offensive edge to whatever you are fighting as it lowers the attack and defense by 12.5% and lowers evasion and accuracy by 20 points. The effect stacks with: Dia, Box Step, Defense Down, and Geo-Frailty. Does NOT STACK with Acid Bolts, Angon, Spirit Surged Jumps, Tachi: Ageha, Shell Crusher, Tenebral Crush, Sweeping Gouge, Tourbillion, and Frightful Roar as well as itself. The weaponskill effect can also be resisted by the mob.
Similar to Full Break, this weaponskill only focuses on lowering the mob's defense. Defense Down effect is -25% defense. This effect can also be resisted much like Full Break.
Great crowd control as this weaponskill deals damage based on WSDMG off gear as well as your STR. It is recommended to use this WS at 1K TP as the damage does not go up with higher TP. Be ready to counter all the damage you are about to receive with Dread Spikes.
Upheaval (Merits Only)
This is a very niche weaponskill, as you will only really be using it for fights like Mauve-wristed Gomberry where you Fell Cleave to kill the adds and spam it while he is staggered. You can get by without using this weaponskill and using Spinning Scythe to kill adds and doing a 4 step on Mauve-wristed Gomberry.

Accessable with Kaja axe from ambuscade, this ws is extremely strong with minimial gear investment. Highly recommended for new and returning players without REMA and +3.
