Before We Start

I built this guide purely because I didn't see one anywhere else, and I occassionally see people doing long ardous crafts for skill ups. My ingame names are Kageniai, Lokixyro, Escortia, and Sakurada. Feel free to let me know if you have any questions/suggestions or see anything wrong!

Let's be honest here, You likely won't need more than 1m unless you are super unlucky with skill-ups. To start, if you have the Rhapsody in Fuchsia Key Item, you can buy Kitron Macarons from the Curio Vendor Moogle for 3k each (36k/stack). This won't be a dramatic increase to skill gain rates, but a 7% increase to skill gain rate is better than a 0% increase. Since it's so small though, don't sweat it if you don't have access to it yet.

This guide will try to use as many readily available materials as possible so we don't have to leave it up to chance for getting some of the mats. I also should mention that some recipes I swap out often. This is just to break up monotony. It's all still cheap things, and getting up fairly often to get more mats can break up all the boring. If this doesn't interest you, you can ride a craft out as far as it will go and grab the next closest to your level in this guide. There are two helpful macros to write before we start this, one to craft 6 times in a row, and 1 to stop the 6x macro from continuing.

For a craft 6x macro, you can type this

/lastsynth <wait 25>
/lastsynth <wait 25>
/lastsynth <wait 25>
/lastsynth <wait 25>
/lastsynth <wait 25>
/lastsynth

and for the cancel macro, you can simply type

/macro set x

Make x the macro set you have set, this will simply register a new macro, and so the synth one will cancel.

Crafts By Level

Levels 1-7

Carrot Broth icon.pngCarrot Broth
Crystal: Water Crystal icon.pngWater Crystal
Ingredient NPC Price
San d'Orian Carrot x4 Aveline, Southern San d’oria, (F-7) 29 Gil

Pretty straight forward. Hang out in front of this NPC, sell off the broths as you need space. These levels shouldn't take more than a few minutes.

Levels 7-17

Orange Juice icon.pngOrange Juice
Crystal: Water Crystal icon.pngWater Crystal
Ingredient NPC Price
Saruta Orange x4 Chomo Jinjahl, Windurst Waters North, (E-8) 32 Gil

Same as the last. These however take up a lot of inventory space since they don't stack. This means you'll be NPCing quite often.

Levels 17-25

Slice of Carp icon.pngSlice of Carp
Crystal: Wind Crystal icon.pngWind Crystal
Ingredient NPC Price
Moat Carp x1 Auction House ~10k Gil per 12
(Average on Asura at the time this guide was built.)

Moat Carp are pretty much always plentiful on the auction house, and for a while now they have been dirt cheap. You won't need many to move on here, so don't be stingy. This is honestly the most expensive craft up until probably the final craft.

Levels 25-32

Pineapple Juice icon.pngPineapple Juice
Crystal: Water Crystal icon.pngWater Crystal
Ingredient NPC Price
Kazham Pineapple x2 Chomo Jinjahl, Windurst Waters North, (E-8) 50 Gil

These are kind of cool. NPC Sells 2 for 120, you sell the juices back for 100, only costs 20 gil per synth! Just like Orange Juices though, they don't stack, so you'll need to sell often.

Levels 32-40

Ulbuconut Milk icon.pngUlbuconut Milk
Crystal: Wind Crystal icon.pngWind Crystal
Ingredient NPC Price
Elshimo Coconut x1 Chomo Jinjahl, Windurst Waters North, (E-8) 158 Gil

These are super simple, cheap, and easy to make. Chomo sells the coconuts, so just go to town, same as with the juices though, they don't stack.

Levels 40-47

White Bread icon.pngWhite Bread
Crystal: Fire Crystal icon.pngFire Crystal
Ingredient NPC Price
San d'Or. Flour x1 Chomo Jinjahl, Windurst Waters North, (E-8) 60 Gil
Selbina Butter x1 Chomo Jinjahl, Windurst Waters North, (E-8) 60 Gil
Rock Salt x1 Chomo Jinjahl, Windurst Waters North, (E-8) 16 Gil
Distilled Water x1 Chomo Jinjahl, Windurst Waters North, (E-8) 12 Gil
Honey x1 Chomo Jinjahl, Windurst Waters North, (E-8) 200 Gil

Yay Chomo! She sells it all, and infinitely. Not expensive, but 5 materials. Thank god for the /lastsynth added a while back!

Levels 47-55

Grape Juice icon.pngGrape Juice
Crystal: Dark Crystal icon.pngDark Crystal
Ingredient NPC Price
San d'Orian Grape x3 Aveline, Southern San d’oria, (F-7) 69 Gil

We'll be using these in a few of out next synths so keep ahold of them. Crafting extra doesn't hurt either!

Levels 55-61

Yagudo Drink icon.pngYagudo Drink
Crystal: Dark Crystal icon.pngDark Crystal
Ingredient NPC Price
Yagudo Cherry x1 Ahyeekih, Windurst Waters North, (H-10)
Fiva, Port San d'Oria, (G-6)
Yafafa, Bastok Markets (I-5)
40 Gil
Buburimu Grape x3 Ahyeekih, Windurst Waters North, (H-10)
Fiva, Port San d'Oria, (G-6)
Yafafa, Bastok Markets (I-5)
184 Gil

These are Kolshushu Regional Vendors. Yes, yes I know at the beginning I said I wouldn't leave it up to chance. However, I don't think I've ever seen Kolshushu owned by beastmen ever even in recent days.

Levels 61-68

Colored Egg icon.pngColored Egg
Crystal: Fire Crystal icon.pngFire Crystal
Ingredient NPC Price
San d'Orian Carrot x1 Aveline, Southern San d’oria, (F-7) 69 Gil
Bird Egg x1 Albinie, Port San d'Oria, (H-6)
Uli Pehkowa, Port Windurst, (M-7)
Denvihr, Port Bastok, (G-7)
51 Gil
La Theine Cabbage x1 Chomo Jinjahl, Windurst Waters North, (E-8) 24 Gil
Distilled Water x1 Chomo Jinjahl, Windurst Waters North, (E-8) 12 Gil

Some traveling for these mats but still all cheap. The Bird Eggs can only be found by the NPCs listed as long as that nation isn't in last place.

Levels 68-74

Pear au Lait icon.pngPear au Lait
Crystal: Water Crystal icon.pngWater Crystal
Ingredient NPC Price
Derfland Pear x2 Belka, Port Bastok, (E-7)
Pourette, Southern San d'Oria, (J-9)
Taraihi-Perunhi, Windurst Woods, (J-10)
128 Gil
Honey x1 Chomo Jinjahl, Windurst Waters North, (E-8) 200 Gil
Selbina Milk x1 Chomo Jinjahl, Windurst Waters North, (E-8) 60 Gil

Crawler's Nest is one of the major leveling spots so Derfland is almost never under beastmen control. Sp don't worry too much about that. If however it does fall under beastment control, you can grow more than a stack of them per pot with a Porcelain Flowerpot, Fruit Seed, and Lightning Crystal.

Levels 74-82

Pamama au Lait icon.pngPamama au Lait
Crystal: Water Crystal icon.pngWater Crystal
Ingredient NPC Price
Pamamas x2 Ghemi Sinterilo, Kazham, (G-7) 73 Gil
Honey x1 Chomo Jinjahl, Windurst Waters North, (E-8) 200 Gil
Selbina Milk x1 Chomo Jinjahl, Windurst Waters North, (E-8) 60 Gil

Levels 82-92

Marron Glace icon.pngMarron Glace
Crystal: Dark Crystal icon.pngDark Crystal
Ingredient NPC Price
Chestnut x2 Corua, Southern San d’oria, (G-9) 110 Gil
Maple Sugar x1 Aveline, Southern San d’oria, (F-7) 40 Gil
Grape Juice x1 You made some. Hope you kept them. Make more as needed.

Not much to be said, everything can be found in sandy and pretty cheap. Just keep at it until the next synth.

Levels 92-104

Dawn Mulsum icon.pngDawn Mulsum
Crystal: Water Crystal icon.pngWater Crystal
Ingredient NPC Price
Holy Water x1 Curio Vendor Moogle, Various 1000 Gil
White Honey x1 Crafted Wind Crystal icon.pngWind Crystal
Pephredo Hive Chip x4
Grape Juice x1 You made some. Hope you kept them. Make more as needed.

These sell fast and for a decent price. Don't flood the market, and don't undercut, they will sell, so don't rush the sale.

Levels 104-110

Miso Ramen Soup icon.pngMiso Ramen Soup
Crystal: Fire Crystal icon.pngFire Crystal
Ingredient NPC Price
Mhaura Garlic x1 Ahyeekih, Windurst Waters North, (H-10)
Fiva, Port San d'Oria, (G-6)
Yafafa, Bastok Markets (I-5)
72 Gil
Ginger x1 Belka, Port Bastok, (E-7)
Pourette, Southern San d'Oria, (J-9)
Taraihi-Perunhi, Windurst Woods, (J-10)
142 Gil
Chicken Bone x2 Retto-Marutto, Windurst Woods, (H-13) 1500 Gil
(Bonecraft Guild Recruit [lvl 8] rank or higher.)
Distilled Water x1 Chomo Jinjahl, Windurst Waters North, (E-8) 12 Gil
Miso x1 Chomo Jinjahl, Windurst Waters North, (E-8) 2500 Gil
Soy Sauce x1 Chomo Jinjahl, Windurst Waters North, (E-8) 2500 Gil

This is where the crafting get's expensive. 6726 gil per synth. However, crafters at this level are lazy. This stuff is used to make the best tank food, Miso Ramen. You can sell this for around 50k a stack on AH. Since you get 6 per synth you're actually looking at profit while crafting this. But as always, don't flood the AH, sell em slow, and don't undercut.Oh and bonecraft 8 will take less than 20 minutes crafting Bone Hairpins. Wind Crystal and a Bone Chip, easy stuff.

In Conclusion

After the journey you should have spent less than 1m to get your cooking to 110! There are a few waits, such as getting the guild points to get the KI that will let you go beyond lvl 110. All of these crafts were made easy to not need any other skills besides bonecrafting. Even that's only a lvl 8 requirement. As of this point though I recommend getting a few Key Items and Sub Crafts for this.

Important Key Items:

Important Subcrafts:

Woodworking is used for anything smoked, but the required level isn't super high. Raw Fish Handling will be required to make sublime sushi, and various other sushi's. Finally stewpot mastery will be required for Marine Stewpots, which are worth a good bit, but don't sell nearly as fast as other foods. You may want to work on the rest as you go, but I'd do these ones first.
