Notes

• Stun rate is fairly high, but not 100%.
  • Being an instant ability, Shield Bash is very effective at stunning mob TP moves.
• Items which enhance Shield Bash only increase its base damage.
• Bash damage formula: damage = (Base + ShieldSizeBonus + JobPoints + BashGear) * Randomizer.
  • The Randomizer is a random number between 1.0 and 1.05.
• Base dmg is 27 at lvl 99 PLD. This value scales with level. 15 base dmg at PLD level 45.
• Shield size bonuses are:
  • Size 1 Shield (Bucklers): +0
  • Size 2 Shield (Round Shields): +13
  • Size 3 Shield (Kite Shields): +40
  • Size 4 Shield (Tower Shields): +67
  • Size 5 Shield (Aegis, Srivatsa): +0
  • Size 6 Shield (Ochain): +0
• The Dispel effect from Cab. Gauntlets +2 and Cab. Gauntlets +3 does not display a log message, making it difficult to tell what was dispelled.
  • The effect is also incredibly accurate, so if the mob had dispellable effects, you removed one.
  • Landed on 139 mobs at 100% rate with a non ilvl weapon and no Magic Accuracy gear. (Small verified samples. See references.)
