Red/Grellow/Blue !!

Thanks for updating those templates with the !! images -- I uploaded them but then I couldn't figure out how to modify the templates to include them so I kinda gave up.

Taru Bribery

I gib you tarus... you fix me this template okok? <3 ; ; http://wiki.bluegartrls.com/Template:Item_Monster

I dont understand why those tables have those weird spacing, under Notes. Nothing I do seems to be fixing it example: http://wiki.bluegartrls.com/Askar_Korazin help onegai! --Aquelia 20:35, 15 November 2007 (CST)

  • more bribery... I gib you more tarus!... question: if I upload all the npc pictures one after another, and confirm that I have every single picture for every npc under Category:Need Image, is there a way to go through the entire category, automatically remove the
    [[Category:Need Image]] or {{Need Image}}
tags? XDDD trying to find a way to do this fast without manually going into every page and removing the tags <333 --Aquelia 16:23, 18 November 2007 (CST)
  • mukyaa... how do I create pages, and upload them? :x theres apparently a billion and once npc vendor in the game and I keep working at em but its taking forever! D: so I'm thinking of just adding all their pages (I have the wikified code) then going through and adding their wares and specific category later >< after I work on crafting. <3333 I'd like to get all these done asap but my 3 day weekend has ended up being 1 day, going in again today, so leave prettyful text on my talk page! :P ty ty ty in super duper advance with a taru on top! --Aquelia 09:09, 19 November 2007 (CST)

You'll have to remake Meat & Eggs, along with Bread & Rice to the spelled out versions. Meat and Eggs, and Breads and Rice. Wiki limitation doesn't allow ampersands, ats or hashes in the page title. ~ Goddess ~ TalkContrib 00:38, 23 January 2008 (EST)

Edit: nvm, you're a step ahead. I went ahead and deleted them though. Disregard the previous message. :P ~ Goddess ~ TalkContrib 00:40, 23 January 2008 (EST)

Stubs

Septi! So I see what you're doing, could you change those stub template implementations to {{stub|category}}? For example the {{Quest Stub}} into {{stub|Quest}}. I'll work on the implementation for it in an hour, with all the coolness you added to it. I'll expand it to Missions and whatever else you may like. Sound good? :D ~ Goddess ~ TalkContrib 01:46, 4 August 2008 (EDT)

Oh, yeah. I know about the general master plan I suppose. With the side category, listing and stuff. I can implement that if you add in the |Quest or |Mission parameter of articles that fall in that category. If the parameter's not there, it'll act like its has been doing already. If you want to get a head start on using that instead, it would save a bunch of time in the future if we go this route. :) ~ Goddess ~ TalkContrib 01:59, 4 August 2008 (EDT)

Ok it's been done. Not sure if you caught this, but for future quest updates/standardization, could you link the start NPC and location as well as possibly adding a position if possible? The {{Stub|Quest}} (case insensitive) is ready to go, I wasn't sure if missions should be on there, cause I believe most of them have been completed, right? If you come up with any other categories that could fit in the "stub' subfunction, lemme know! :D Thaaanks! ~ Goddess ~ TalkContrib 09:29, 4 August 2008 (EDT)

P.S. If you describe some type of word art/design you want for a text signature, I'll see if I can whip something up for ya. ^^

Thanks

Hey Sept,

Thanks for cleaning up my broken item links on Stronghold Invasion. I didn't realize BGWiki's convention for item pages was to use the abbreviated item names--I'm too used to otherwiki heh.

Making new pages

I'm wiki illiterate. How do I make new pages? Can I make new pages? --Byrthnoth 22:29, 9 May 2011 (EDT)

Thanks! Also, Yugl has been trying to PM you on the BG forums. The long and the short of it is that he wants to update stuff, I think. I'm going to try and work on a Tactical Points page today, but I may need some help with formatting. --Byrthnoth 12:48, 10 May 2011 (EDT)

Okay, so! Yugl wants to make an account, but neither of us can figure out how to do that. Septimus Signal Activate! --Byrthnoth 15:41, 11 May 2011 (EDT)

Awesome! Thanks!

I was wondering if there is an automated way to change page names. For instance, Relics and Mythics would be better reorganized so the level 75 version is named "Relic/Mythic (Level 75)" like the other versions, and then we make a redirect page with just "Relic/Mythic" that takes people to whatever the highest current version is.

Also, Mythics currently default to the NQ version that doesn't have any stats on it, while the stat-having version is "Mythic (Complete)". It would probably be more accurate if the statless version was "Mythic (Incomplete)" and the useful version was "Mythic (Level 75)"

This is certainly not a pressing issue, but I was thinking about it and figured I'd see if it was easier than I thought! --Byrthnoth 17:49, 11 May 2011 (EDT)

Herro! Okay, so! FFXIAH is linking BG Wiki now. --Byrthnoth 23:08, 15 May 2011 (EDT)

I would also like to have a discussion with you about what can and can't be done with templates. I'll PM you on BG when I have something more concrete. --Byrthnoth 23:48, 15 May 2011 (EDT)

I forget the tag to put on stuff that needs your formatting attention, but the Waltz page is in serious need of some halp. I ended up with two different table formats and a line-break that I can't seem to get rid of in my formula. --Byrthnoth 10:07, 18 May 2011 (EDT)

Septimus vs. Sets... FLAWLESS VICTORY! --Byrthnoth 17:23, 27 May 2011 (EDT)

Yeah, and some pages have links to the wrong set names xD. I tried to add them to the abjurations as I went through, but I'm not sure it worked out. --Byrthnoth 17:27, 27 May 2011 (EDT)

Hey Septimus. I see you updating the RDM set. Yugl did a bunch of tests on that, it goes:
1 AF3+2 : No Bonus
2 AF3+2 : +10%
3 AF3+2 : +20%
4 AF3+2 : +30%
5 AF3+2 : +50%

Feet have a separate +20% modifier, and the cape is also +10%

Works out to:
(Normal duration)*(Set Bonus)*(Cape + Feet Bonus) Here is the link --Byrthnoth 23:32, 19 June 2011 (EDT)

Scholar page

So i'm getting ready to update info on the SCH page, and I plan to write it all myself, but I'm not sure if using other wikis as a source of information qualifies as plagiarism. I can check my in-game spell list/abilities to see what all SCH has, but I don't know what lvl they were aquired without using wiki (for spells I can look at the scrolls, but for abilities do I have to go through all the version update announcements?) Do I just add the other wikis as a source at the bottom of the page(s)?

EDIT: NVM I just went and found the version update notices.

Item Information

Hey I'd like to start contributing on a regular basis here because FFXIclopedia.. just isn't cutting it. How can I talk to someone about the item pages? Would that be you? Bismarck - Zander (SJ) 00:26, 19 October 2012 (EDT)
