A Crystalline Prophecy - Ode of Life Bestowing was the first of three expansion scenarios released in 2009, preceding A Moogle Kupo d'Etat and A Shantotto Ascension.

Launched on March 22, 2009, with service commencing April 9, 2009, it was the first add-on sold exclusively as a download through PlayOnline and was later bundled into the Ultimate Collection release.

Story

One day, a giant crystal appeared in the skies above Jeuno, triggering a series of unexplained happenings across the land. Now, adventurers will set forth to unravel the mysteries of this primordial crystal that holds the secret of Vana'diel's past.

Remnants of an enormous crystal suddenly appear in the sky above Jeuno, causing all manner of strange incidents throughout the land. Long known as harbingers of natural phenomena, such crystals are often treated with apprehension, and it falls to adventurers to get to the bottom of things.
