These quests allow an airship trip to Jeuno to pay for itself plus 300 gil of profit by talking to an NPC, paying attention to the randomly generated NPC shown to you, then finding that NPC during the airship trip. You are rewarded only when you deliver the Dropped item key item to the correct NPC.
Things to pay attention to that help identify the correct NPC:
- Hair/hat
- Gloves
- Legwear
Grants the following Titles:
- Discerning Individual (5 clears)
- Very Discerning Individual (20 clears)
- Extremely Discerning Individual (100 clears)
The quest counts as clear as soon as you return the item and receive the gil reward/quest completion fanfare. Now that Home Point teleportation exists, if you are quick about it, it's possible to clear the quest, Warp back to town, and make it to the next Airship departure on time. The order of departures is San d'Oria -> Windurst -> Bastok -> Kazham. There are 4 departures per terminal per Vana'diel day, for a total of one departure every 3m36s. As a result, it is theoretically possible clear the quest 100 times in 6 hours.
