How many physical products do you think exist for Final Fantasy XI? Ten? Fifty? One Hundred? No, not even close, a lot more, so much more. Excluding the games themselves, some music CDs, and some guides, there was very little that ever made its way into the English-speaking world, but in Japan there are Thousands of things! Most of these items are older, however, within the last few years there seems to be a resurgence of new Final Fantasy XI related goods (including collaborations), some of which are being released outside of Japan, and a nostalgic clamoring around some of the older items. “Memorabilia, Multimedia, Merchandise, Music, Magazines, and More” - I want to create something where every, any, and all things can be found in one place where everyone can reference and enjoy. One of the other reasons I wanted to peruse this was to aid in the preservation and history of Final Fantasy XI. With Funkworkz’s amazing "The History of Final Fantasy XI" project, it made sense to have a supplementary and stand-alone piece that solely focuses on the real-world tangible objects that Final Fantasy XI has without bulking up those pages as not everyone is interested in all of this other stuff. I am no writer, my memory is terrible, and have little patience to where something of that caliber for me is not possible. He has done an amazing job, and I hope that this can at least assist in the effort of emphasizing how important this game has been to us all.
