Holy Damage

Geneyus of Lakshmi helped a great deal with this testing.

X Axis is HP Cured. Y Axis is Holy base damage increase, which is how this ability appears to work. Calculating for base damage allows me to combine trials across monsters without ruining the nice trend that you see.
Things worth taking away from the chart:

  • I can't get this to come out as simple piecewise-linear with a change in equation at 1000HP Cured. It looks more gradual than that. This means I'm either still not plotting the modified quantities, I have one or two bad data points, or it's actually something like exponential.
  • HP Cured -> Holy damage caps out at about 1300 HP Cured and +380 base damage, with huge gains between 1000 and 1300 HP cured.

Other Tests:

  • Cured approximately the same amount with Cure IV x2 (one partially wasted) and Cure V, got approximately the same Holy damage. Doesn't look like it matters which spell you use.
    • Cured for less than the potential amount with Cure V, got less of a bonus than curing for the full amount. Guess it's not based on "potential HP cured" like Cureskin.
  • Cured two different people for the same amount (A full Cure VI) and it increased Holy damage by the same amount. Doesn't look like it's based on HP%.
  • Used Benediction and received the bonus I would have expected for that HP cured. Perhaps Martyr works too? --Byrthnoth 10:34, 25 June 2011 (EDT)

Further testing has shown that this bonus may continue to increase after 380 with a very low slope. Or not! -- Byrthnoth 08:18, 10 June 2012 (EDT)
