What a bitch! It took a few hundred casts to get it to bite. Ended up getting one with an Ebisu and Robber Rig. It is a single "!" fish. This is insignificant but I got the "Your keen angler senses..." message when I have not caught one before. Funkworkz (talk) 21:42, 27 July 2021 (EDT)
@funkworkz - Where did you manage to catch this at? I've tried the Docks in Bibiki Bay and Purgonorgo Isle to no avail. Nvee666 (talk)
I finally got one, after many casts. Ended up on Southwest Beach of Purgonorgo Isle with a Lu Rod and Fly Lure. Anecdotally, I also got the "Your keen angler senses..." message. Atrelamine (talk) 20:22, 7 September 2023 (UTC)
Rogue Rig
On the JP dev post explaining the rarer hook rate I linked under Notes, they hint at using a Rogue Rig. From my anecdotal experience Robber and Rogue don't have the same hook rate, and sometimes not even the same pool of possible fish. Give it a try. Good luck!
