Talk:Entrust

From FFXI Wiki

Entrust doesn't ignore Geomancy + gear(Dunna,Idris etc) it just only counts the value the receiver is wearing when they are casted onto.

Here is a test I did with some changes to make it easier to follow.

We have Bill and Ted who are both GEOs. Bill has 800 skill and Ted has 900 skill.

  • Bill decides to entrust a spell on Ted who is wearing Geomancy + gear and that spell is buffed by Ted's Geomancy + gear. Ted can now further buff this spell with Bolster that was entrusted on him.
  • Lets say Bill goes to entrust a spell onto someone and Bill happens to mess up and casts it on himself the entrust will get used but his spell will receive any Geomancy + he was wearing still.
  • I excluded the idea of the game just thinking that Ted casted the spell because it was still using the skill from the Bill who actually casted it with his 800 skill vs Ted's 900 skill who got entrusted.

All this is useless but just in case we some how end up with a Geomancy + gear for a different job later down the line it could help a little.

This also should mean if Rufus could some how could steal Bolster from a mob and Rufus who stole it was also entrusted with a Indi spell at that time. It would buff Rufus' entrusted spell. Can't test this ATM but it is based on the entrusted Ted being able to Bolster it still. Darvamos{Chiaia} (talk) 03:32, 4 October 2016 (UTC)
