Potency testing
I confirmed the progression listed on the page (90% -> 80% -> ... -> 20%), and then did some tests with PDT gear. 43% PDT in gear (10% from Dark Rings, Fugacity Beret, Twilight Torque, DS Harness +1/Subligar +1, Terra's Staff) and a fresh Fan Dance reduced a 2-person 1000 Needles to 28 damage.
500*.57*.1 = 28.5 Damage, Floor(28.5)=28
Immediately afterwards, the Cactaur did it again for 57 damage
500*.57*.2 = 57 Damage
Fresh Fan Dance, same gear, -26 damage Phalanx II (tested with second player) made 1000 Needles do 2 damage, so Phalanx II is applied at the end of everything. --Byrthnoth 13:04, 30 May 2011 (EDT)
