Talk:Gold Lobster
From FFXI Wiki
Brief notes on location for these, to save the next idiot who comes along some time:
- FFXIclopedia said Sea Serpent Grotto, Map 4, small pond. (Unity Warp gets you past the Gold Beastcoin door.)
- TL;DR just fish there
- But I'm lazy and wanted to walk less, and the list there also had Den of Rancor...
- ...and while The Japanese fishing maps for Den of Rancor only show the two ponds, the words on their page say "all water" and not "just the ponds", unlike the page here on BG...
- ...and Home Point #2 exists now - right outside the Cloister of Tides - and it's got some ankle-deep water flowing right next to it.
- Ten casts with a Sinking Minnow saw two Cobalt Jellyfish but zero Gold Lobster, so I assume it cannot, in fact, be caught there.
- First cast at the SSG pond I caught a Gold Lobster. Just use that.
