Preliminary results:

  • Control (DNC/NIN), level 1 Skillchain MB: 122 -> 158
  • 84 BLM/SAM, level 1 Skillchain MB: 232 -> 334
  • 84 BLM/SAM, level 1 Skillchain MB: 104 -> 150

Hmm...

  • 334/(232*1.3) = ~11%
  • 150/(104*1.3) = ~11%

Okay, other tests:

  • 345/(229*1.3) = ~16% <-- Consistent with the +5 Magic Burst Bonus these items have been reputed to give for years.
  • 359/(229*1.3) = ~21% <-- Also Consistent

Now for tier testing!

  • 83 BLM/SAM, no gear, Level 1 Skillchain MB: 228 -> 322 (+9%), Trait III.

This pretty much solidifies the Occult Acumen and Skillchain Bonus-ish growth structure, though the other jobs gain it at weird levels.

  • 88 SCH/BLM, no gear, 219 -> 298 (+5%), Trait I
  • 89 SCH/BLM, no gear, 217 -> 300 (+6~7%), Trait II <-- SCH gets Tier II trait at 89.
  • 89 NIN/SAM, no notable gear, 259 -> 352 (+5%), Trait I
  • 90 NIN/SAM, no notable gear, 258 -> 358 (+7%), Trait II
  • 94 RDM/SAM, no notable gear, 177 -> 241 (+5%), Trait I
  • 95 RDM/SAM, no notable gear, 162 -> 225 (+7%), Trait II--Byrthnoth 18:00, 13 September 2011 (EDT)

Level 99 Testing
