Cutscene fails to play from Zemerine
got past the point where I had the Esthete's gear could not get CS to play. Tried the following:
- take off all other gear and weapons except the Esthete's gear
- talk to every NPC in in the Silver knife
- set the 3 items to a lockstyle and equip the lockstyle over my normal gear
- set the 3 items to a lockstyle and equip the lockstyle over the Esthete's gear
- zoned multiple times
- waited multiple in game days and retried all of the above steps
- logged completely off and back on, closing POL completely
- logged back on in vanilla ffxi client
Currently waiting for server maintenance in a couple of hours, hoping that helps
*update: I unequipped the 3 items and talked to Oscarnot in the hopes that maybe the next CS after this one would play and that worked. The game skipped the Zemerine CS completely. Javelinx (talk) 00:49, 9 October 2025 (UTC)

Was just running through this mission, can confirm same issue, i had all gear completely removed and style locked the 3 pieces of gear, couldnt get the cutscene from Oscarnot. Changed over to my normal stylelock armor set and the CS finally happened.
Runje Desaali would not accept Atzintli Necklace for the WKR items.
