Ux/Ui of the Magian site in my opinion needs some flow right now, readability with the objectives right bellow acquisition requirement with good, clear, concise and short descriptions (that are properly linked) of what to do, in my opinion this is a much better layouts the one that's being borrowed from FFXIclopedia that segments these pieces as you have suggested. I think the better piece of information to stick there is 'extra' information, ala. recommended locations for completing the trials. Testing it out now with daggers, unless there's some extreme objections, i'll end up scowering the rest of the page to shuffle the information and format it. What are your thoughts/reasons for keeping the quest objectives fragmented?
On the same note/vein:
Concerning the new 'Resulting Augments' section: this doesn't really work in my opinion, seeing as it runs into two terminology issues (augments mean something very specific in FFXI, as well as the 'resulting' weapons already being called 'Rewards' on the right side of the page) and one placement issue(currently requirement/reward is on the right side of the page aside from all the information, so user eye is trained to look there, we're segmenting information if we place it down bellow, can think of some sort of underbar for the information? or maybe highlight wording or something? picture replacement?
