After accounting for the NPC sale price of the shield, this costs about 8k gil plus an earth crystal. It's a pretty good option if it's in stock.

This would be a great option if there was a reliable, cheap supply of logs, but at least on Odin the supply seems to be almost nonexistent. If you can snag some from the AH at a reasonable price, then go for it.

These logs should be cheap and in plentiful supply. The lumber is used in a couple quests as well as GEO AF, so selling singles is quite profitable, but there is only moderate demand. Even if you end up NPCing the lumber, this synth should be much cheaper than the alternatives.

I recommend switching to this recipe when your modified skill level (including advanced support) is around 89 or when you hit 87 base skill, whichever happens first.

If you are leveling smithing on another character, you can use these to make Beryllium Picks.

This is a good alternative if Urunday Logs are unavailable or if these are cheaper. There is very little demand for the lumber, so just NPC it.

Depending on the current market, this could theoretically be profitable, but the sap sells slowly. It is used to make Urushi which has some uses but is in low demand. Even NPCing the sap, this could be an efficient way to skill up if the logs are cheap.

Four of these NPC for slightly less than one Divine Lumber, but the recipe is 5 levels higher, so it's a useful bridge.

This is not terrible if the logs are cheap (~60k per stack). You will probably end up having to NPC them and losing some gil, but only a few thousand per synth.

Like most SoA materials, these should be cheap and in plentiful supply. If you've leveled your Bonecraft sub, you can use the lumber to synth Arasy Staff, but otherwise you'll probably want to NPC it.

Escutcheon Stage 1

See Escutcheons for an explanation of the process.

For Stage 1, there is no preferred order of operations, since the shield does not yet provide any benefit. However, you may wish to prioritize reaching 100% craftsmanship to eliminate the success rate penalty in case you forget to unequip the shield when synthing for other purposes.

Once you acquire the shield, you can immediately begin working on craftsmanship, but you'll need to trade the shield to the Cheupirudaux in order to unlock the turn-ins for Crafter Points.

Craftsmanship

Just spam cheap low level synths. You can do a higher level synth if it is profitable, but ideally it should be HQ T3. (Also remember that you will be starting at -30% success rate.)

The craftsmanship rewards will quickly drop to zero for NQ results when spamming a synth, but you can still make respectable progress via HQs and bonus objectives.

Obtaining Craftsman's Crystal: Woodworking will lower your craftsmanship to 67%, so don't do so until you've accumulated sufficient Crafter Points.

This is probably the best option for Crafter Points since you can T2 it.

I'm mentioning this because this recipe is fairly cheap and might be tempting, but the issue is that the skill level is just too high. If you happen to have a Kupo Shield, then you can just barely T2 this, but otherwise don't bother. You'll get more Crafter Points from set 90 due to the much higher HQ rate.
