Port Moogle

Thank you for your work on the porter moogle/slip pages. --Spicyryan (talk) 04:38, 14 November 2014 (EST)

(Do I respond here or on your page? lol) Thanks, I saw it could use some TLC/updating and thought I might help. This is my first day editing a wiki page...ever. Let me know if I mess anything up or could do some things better. Also, how can I add images to items not yet with an image? Is there an easy-ish way to do that? I'll be helping more with this wiki, but some things I'm just unaware (at least as of now) how to do. Thanks. Maxo996 (talk) 04:59, 14 November 2014 (EST)

Yeah you respond here because the message was left here :P

If you are talking about the items from the October and November update. Yeah, sorry about that. Sort of my fault that at least the October ones are not up yet. I have those ready to go. The November I need to grab. Just leave that to Funk and I.

If there is anything you need to know just let me know. I have a list of templates I frequently need to grab on my Sandbox page which should come in handy on edits. --Spicyryan (talk) 05:38, 14 November 2014 (EST)

Ok then, one question I have @ this time: for example on the Porter Moogle page at the top where it shows the info, it only allows up to 10 locations for the moogle to be listed. As you'll note on the bottom of the page there are like, 14 in total or something. The NPC Template which is used on that page only allows up to 10 locations. Any way I can fix this? I must be kind of OCD but I also don't see why I shouldn't be able to list all locations at the top, where it says 'Locations'. Maxo996 (talk) 05:48, 14 November 2014 (EST)

Okay the template now allows for 20 locations instead of 10 :D There was not anyway you could have fixed it as only an admin can edit the template. The reason you could not list all the NPCs was because originally the template only had room for one NPC. fomated as |Location blah blah. This was then later expanded via some wikimagic to have room for 10 locations. I just doubled it now and cleaned up. I don't see us needing more than 20 locations for an NPC ever though.--Spicyryan (talk) 06:57, 14 November 2014 (EST)

Perfect! I think that about wraps that page up currently. Hmm, what to work on next :D Maxo996 (talk) 07:25, 14 November 2014 (EST)

Funk and I have a current projects page: User:Spicyryan and User:Funkworkz/sandbox if you need suggestions.

‎User:Flaminglegion has been doing a great job the past few days fixing the zones that are full of broken templates from post Adoulin changes. That is an easier find and replace text with notepad++ job. There is also the need to add the NMs (such as delve), quests, and general info to adoulin zone pages. However, my best suggestion is to just use the wiki for things you would want to use or think people need. Then adjust based on that to improve your experience here, and others :D --Spicyryan (talk) 07:47, 14 November 2014 (EST)

Regarding frequently used links. How is this determined? I can't help but think the Unity page should be added to the frequently used links as it's the new thing SE is going to be pushing more it seems. Maxo996 (talk) 15:16, 14 November 2014 (EST)

They are just set by the last admin to edit it. To be honest I was thinking of making a reforged armor section and taking those links out of the frequent to that new section to add alluvion and gobbie box and unity etc.

Now as for those tables on the unity wanted battle section. We are better off doing something like the tables from the A. Skirmish page so it is all an even length and not so ugly. But, as long as the information is there for now I suppose. Then I can change it later. --Spicyryan (talk) 22:06, 14 November 2014 (EST)

Or at least take out Meeble Burrows for Unity...right? Anyways, yeah I'm just starting to dabble on Unity page. Never even tried the content out itself yet but putting some desperately needed info in for now. Maxo996 (talk) 22:08, 14 November 2014 (EST)

I just got home from work (zzz) and now my LS wants to do stuff. :| Unfortunately none of that is Unity related so I have to read up to add stuff to it. --Spicyryan (talk) 22:10, 14 November 2014 (EST)
