Asida

From FFXI Wiki
General Notes
  • Switches between "smooth head" and "spiky head" modes like Salvage flans
  • Switches between modes based on the amount of physical / magical damage dealt.
  • The conversion to spikes mode is fairly obvious, while the conversion to smooth mode is just a subtle bouncing animation.
  • Smooth head mode: Casts magic more frequently, resists Magical Damage magic damage and is weak to Physical Damage physical damage.
  • TP move use is primarily Boiling Point which inflicts magic defense down and Amplification which boosts Asida's magic attack/defense and magic accuracy.
  • Can use Gush o' Goo, which gives Encumbrance for about a minute, and Xenoglossia, which makes the next cast instant.
  • May respond to skillchains with Gush o' Goo' Verification Needed
  • Spiky head mode: Gains a significant attack boost and defense bonus, resists Physical Damage physical damage and is weak to Magical Damage magical damage.
  • TP move use primarily Amorphic Spikes which is 5-hit physical damage and Amorphic Scythe which is frontal conal physical damage.
