Fire Spells are the Black Magic fire-based nukes. They are third most damaging in the general magic damage hierarchy. These spells are often useful against ice-based enemies and tend to be ineffective against fire- or water-based enemies.

Enhancing Equipment
Fire spells can be enhanced with Fire day/weather bonus, Fire Staff bonus, Fire Magic Attack Bonus, and Fire Magic Affinity.
- Day/Weather Bonus: Korin Obi, Hachirin-no-Obi, Atma of the Burning Effigy, or Firestorm.
- Staff Bonus: Fire/Vulcan's Staff, Iridal/Chatoyant Staff
- Magic Attack Bonus: Black Mage Tier 1 Merits, Melisseus Staff, Zamzummim Staff
- Magic Accuracy Bonus: Melisseus Staff, Zamzummim Staff, Fire Grip
- Affinity: Trial of the Magians Staves -affinity staves, Atma of the Clawed Butterfly, Atma of the Smoldering Sky, Atma of the Lone Wolf.
There are other ways to boost Day/Weather bonus that are not specific to the fire element and thus are not included here.
