Rhazowa - "The frozen Continent"
- This land in the far north was once home to a Twin World Tree. It was once fertile and full of life. When the orcs started to colonize the **country, they destroyed the forest and burned everything down. The death of the former World Tree there changed the continent to a desolate, icy **desert of snow and ice.
- The "Orcish Empire" and "Gigas Homeland" are now on this continent. Ferreous Coffin once traveled this continent and wrote down his experiences in Ferreous's Diary .
- The Gigas Homeland is located in the north of Vana'diel and, as the name suggests, is the home of the Gigas and other viking tribes.
- Hordes of the Orcish Empire came the continent Rhazowa nothing is known. The hordes displaced the few fishermen who were settled there in the sparsely populated Valdeaunia region.
- Orcs invaded Rhazowa and burned the first World Tree. Her child, Yggdrasil, was still tied somehow to the Rhazowa tree. It weakened as her twin withered.

Rosulata: What you see before you is an imaaage of a land far across the seas.. the land you call "Rhazowa."
and what it looked like many, many years, aaago.
Arciela: This was Rhazowa
Rosulata: And also what the founder kind took with him...a piece of the World Tree
Arciela: The twin World Trees...
Never before have I laid eyes on anything so grand and beautiful.
Rosulata: This sereeeenity was not to last. Tragedy soon came to Rhazowa.
Arciela: The Orcs, they're--they're burning the World Tree!
Arciela: This must be the sordid invasio of the Orcis horde into Rhazowa.
Rosulata: Yes, descendant. On this daaay, the World Tree in Rhazowa was turned into cinders, its grace lost forever.
Arciela: No...it can't be!
Rosulata: Yet the travesty continuuuued. Mother was inexorably intertwined with her twin, and she began to warp and change.
Rosulata: Unable to maintain the form and shape she once had.
Arciela: This is just too cruel!
The World Tree...
The forests...
All gone...
Rosulata: When the World Tree in Rhazowa was iiincinerated Mother began to weaken. She took all the energy she had left to
protect the land and stored it in her roots, which she seeent out grasping throughout Ulbuka.
Rosulata: It is as you would eeexpect. Her very roots support the weight of the world.
Arciela: The roots that dot all of Vana'diel--they belong to her?
Rosulata: When her power had waned to the point of being snuffed out, she used eveeery last ounce inside her to
bring budding new life into the land.
Rosulata: To the noooorthwest of here is a place known as Kamihr. The land became deformed and rose ever higher, and
is now covered in snow as bright and white as the summmeeer suns.
Rosulata: The scenes that played out in your mind are what happened in Rhazowa...and what happened here.
Rosulata: Aaand now, Mother lies on the brink of death, with only the smallest fraction of energy left.
