Walkthrough

Trade enough Crystals to any San d'Orian Conquest Overseer to raise your Rank bar and unlock this mission, one crystal should be enough.

• Speak to any Gate Guard and accept the mission.
• Head to La Theine Plateau and speak to Galaihaurat at (E-6), at the very top of the cliffs
• At the east side of (F-6) head down the ramp.
• Continue into Ordelle's Caves at (F-7), in a tunnel at the south of the canyon.
  • (Optional): You can talk to Equesobillot, Deaufrain, Vicorpasse, Augevinne, Yaucevouchat, Laurisse, and Narvecaint for some additional dialogue as you head down into and through the canyon.
• Once inside Ordelle's Caves, follow the left wall and talk to Ruillont at (G-3) in the corner behind a rock, in the small pond.
• Go back to La Theine Plateau. Either Deaufrain (halfway up the ramp out of the canyon), Equesobillot (at the top of the ramp out of the canyon) or Galaihaurat (at the top of the cliffs by a wall next to the canyon) will have the Bronze Sword needed to progress the mission.
  • The NPC which has the sword seems to be entirely random for each player.
• Head back to Ruillont in Ordelle's Caves, and trade his Bronze Sword to him.
• Go back to La Theine Plateau and talk to Vicorpasse (F-6) for Rescue training certificate.
• Return to a Gate Guard to complete the mission.

Notes

• A Map of La Theine Plateau and Ordelle's Caves can be purchased from the Map NPCs in Northern San d'Oria and Southern San d'Oria prior to leaving town, but they are not required to progress.
• If instead of the mission's normal dialogue, most involved NPCs state "The suspect appears to have taken refuge within Ordelle's Caves. We will follow our training drills and stick to our posts!", then you have a conflicting quest active, A Timely Visit.
  • You're not required to complete this quest to progress, but some NPCs may require talking to more than once for their mission-specific dialogue.
• If you somehow drop or otherwise lose the sword given to you during the mission, you'll need to acquire a new Bronze Sword from somewhere else to progress.
  • The NPC who was keeping it will say "Didn't I give you his sword? Just hand it to Ruillont. Don't you lose it!" and does not appear to be able to miraculously give you another one, even if you zone after losing it.
