Getting Started

Play the minigame to earn a special currency known as Mandy, which can be exchanged for a dizzying array of special rewards!

Mandy (Currency)

A currency used just for Mandragora Mania Madness, which is earned by playing a minigame and exchanged for special rewards.

The Game

There are a total of ten opponents to play against. The later opponents are tougher they are because they make smarter moves.

If you have unlocked prizes or opponents in the prior years event, they will remain unlocked in the current year.

The overall idea of the game (2025) is to connect 4 Mandys in a row.

On a player's turn, they select one of the sixteen blocks to place a Mandy on.

  • If you connect 3 Mandys prior to getting a Connect-4, you will instantly lose the game.
  • If you place a Mandy on both sides of your opponent's Mandy, you will convert their Mandy to yours.
    • This can be done with 2 or more Mandys at the same time!
  • Likewise, if you trick the opponent to connecting 3 Mandys, they will instantly lose the game. And if they trap your Mandy, they will convert it.

You receive Mandy points based on the number of Mandys you have on the board at the end of the game.

  • On a Win!
    • Normal Mandy - 1 Point Each
    • Adenium Mandy (Pink) - 2 Points Each
    • Citrullus Mandy (Green) - 3 Points Each
  • On a lose
    • Total Mandy points are halved

Even if you lose, you keep all Mandy you earn. If you quit the game, you lose all Mandy earned so far that game. The prizes are a "cumulative Mandy earned" similar to cumulative Hallmarks in Ambuscade.

The overall idea of the game is to score more points than your opponent. Be sure to look in the upper left corner of the screen to see the current score.
Mandragora mania.jpg

Mandragora Mania is similar to the real-world game of Mancala. The game board consists of eight hexagons. Your opponent controls three hexagons (the top row), and you control three hexagons (the bottom row). Both players share control of the middle (yellow) hexagons, meaning that both you and your opponent have a selection of five hexagons to work with. In the game menu, the five hexagons you control are numbered 1 through 5, from left to right, with #2 and #4 being the shared yellow hexagons. Each player also controls their "base", the large rectangle they stand on.

On a player's turn, they select one of the five hexagons they control. The mandragoras on that hexagon are then distributed to adjacent hexagons or base in a counter-clockwise order, one mandragora per hexagon. If the distribution puts a mandragora on a player's "base", then that player keeps the mandragora placed on their base, and gains points based on that type of mandragora. If the distribution would place a mandragora on the other player's base, it is skipped; it is not possible to place a mandragora on your opponent's base and give them points by accident. If the distribution ends exactly at a player's base, they get another turn.

It is not possible to select a hexagon with zero mandragora on it. The game ends when either you or your opponent cannot make a move (i.e., have zero mandragora on all five hexagons they control), and the player with the most points wins.

Each Mandragora is worth a different amount of points:

  • 1 Point
    • Normal Mandragoras
  • 2 Points/3 Points
    • Korrigans and Pachypodiums
      • For the player who moves first in the game, they are worth 2 points. For the player who moves second, they are worth 3.
  • 3 Points/4 Points
    • Citrullus and Adenium
      • For the player who moves first in the game, they are worth 3 points. For the player who moves second, they are worth 4.

Even if you lose, you keep all Jingly you earn. If you quit the game, you lose all jingly earned so far that game. The prizes are a "cumulative jingly earned" similar to cumulative Hallmarks in Ambuscade.

Easy strat for beating Sakura (2025)

If you are having trouble with beating Sakura to unlock the final prize, see the attached image and strategy.

    • Sakura's turns are indicated by the yellow numbers.
    • The player's turns are indicated by the blue numbers.
  • This strategy only works if Sakura is FIRST.
  • In the event Sakura is first, the AI will likely start in a corner.
    • In the event Sakura starts in a different corner, please just rotate the image and the strategy should be the same.
  • By placing your Mandy in these specific locations, it will force the game AI to make predictable moves which will default in you winning by turn 7.
  • The idea behind this is for the player to lock the 2, 3, 14, & 15 positions on the board.
  • The AI will have no choice but to attempt to make a line on the far left or far right, which you can easily stop and guarantee a win in the middle of the board.
  • I use the word Likely above because it is almost always doing this with a few random outliers.

  • If Sakura Plays first, in the first game of the match. You can use this strat three times in the match and guarantee an overall win regardless of your performance on the games you play first.
