Talk:Sovereign Behemoth
Moderately easy solo w/trusts on a geared ML21 RDM/NIN.
Debuffs are Dia, Distract, Slow and Addle. I use Valaineral for majesty cures rather than tanking, either way I position him behind the mob to avoid Howl usage. Try to get a feel for Meteor timing and just maintain shadows and try to fire your arrow in preparation to land a Savage Blade during Meteor cast.
Standing behind will unlock Kick Out and Dust Storm, this dramatically reduces the chance of eating 15 second stuns from Thunderbolt. Empyreal Arrow -> Savage Blade for my strongest Light chain.
Empyreal arrow still whiffs on occasion for me which is why I use Kuyin to help a bit. For my gear level, I only need one "!!" white proc to know that I will win, otherwise you can go in front to trigger one howl to reset his DT if necessary. -- 18 September 2023 Ultimaetus
Easy kill in about a minute and a half with good support and good players, but this can get mucked up a bit and fights can take longer.
BLU NIN GEO GEO COR WHM
After some occasional checking of accuracy and hit rates. DDs wanna aim for around 1450 accuracy after food and buffs with topor on the mob to cap accuracy.
GEO #1 does Attunement and Vex. GEO#2 does Topor and Frailty. Both trade off entrusting haste (you know, NINs are needy and shit). The BLU can use tourbillion or MG for the defense boost. Both are about as equally valuable. The GEOs should also be dispelling howl and blaze spikes.
COR does Hunters and Samurai rolls. DDing with Laeden is a plus.
NIN stays behind with Innin and DDs.
WHM plays WHM. Hopefully they have 119 idle gear to resist stun procs. Paralyze, slow, addle, blind, distract, frazzle the mob.
BLU should be tanking with barrier tusk and cocoon on. Start the fight a voke from the front and trigger howl then move to the back for a bit. Rotate around the mob periodically to keep howl on. Watch the damage go down over time and you will figure it out. Hi and CDC SC great together. White proc makes a difference in the fight, but you still need to rotate for howl. --Spicyryan (talk) 22:41, 13 March 2016 (UTC)
Soloed it with Ygnas, Syvlie, King of Hearts, Arciela, and Qultada on DRG because it would have been too easy on BLU. Took a little over 9 minutes. --Spicyryan (talk) 16:00, 24 January 2018 (EST)
With regards to the following...
Creating a Skillchain for 10,000+ damage during the casting of Meteor will cause a
proc to occur.
... I have proc'ed White while WS'ing during Wild Horn and Howl as well.
While I am not 100% sure if a SC is needed, I definitely did not land over 10k SC damage. 9k Chant du Cygne with 5k Distortion was enough for the latter proc. --Prismfang (talk) 19:35, 12 July 2019 (EDT)
We did some fights last night, and I also saw white procs during TP moves and not just Meteor. He usually always stuns before casting meteor, so its pretty tough to get one during casting.
Also, the 10k damage seems to be a combination of Weapon Skills plus skillchain damage. I am guessing its the second weapon skill only, but not sure. Funkworkz (talk) 20:10, 12 July 2019 (EDT)
It seems to be total damage of the SC which occurs in the window. I had some 5500+5500 not proc, while a well timed 15000 -> 4400 + 4400 did proc. That one started just before Meteor and ended just afterwards. --Dalethasura (talk) 00:02, 27 February 2026 (UTC)

Three Average Players with Trusts ==
DRK/SAM (Sublime Sushi) Apocalypse, Catastrophe spam. RDM/SCH (Tropical Crepe) Stays out of melee. WAR/DRG (Sublime Sushi) Naegling, Savage Blade spam Trusts: Yoran/Koru/Sehlteus (Sehlteus was frequently full curing after Meteor and was great.)
DRK or WAR pop facing East starting you off behind the NM. RDM moved to 17’’ behind melee but still in range to land debuffs. RDM buffs melee with Phalanx II/Haste II RDM buffs Yoran with Refresh III RDM Stoneskin/Blink/Aquaveil/LA/Add:White/Aurorastorm/Reraise DRK and War full buffs including 3rd eye/seigan
WAR and DRK: Pop and melee down to 60-65% when DT will cap. Once DT caps (only doing about 50-100 per normal hit), move WAR to the front to trigger a Howl which seems to reset his DT build. Move back to rear immediately in case it Howls again. You will want to do this very sparingly as meteor damage is worse after Howl it would seem - and it stacks. Try to keep as many buffs up and DRK absorbs going in as possible, Absorb-TP was worthwhile, I would imagine ACC/DEX too. Might need another Howl late on in the fight if unlucky.
RDM sticks Dia III, Saboteur/Frazzle III, Distract III, Blind, Slow and Addle. Paralyze can land occasionally. RDM needed to recast Blind/Slow/Addle towards the end. RDM on cures paying attention to keep Yoran/Sehlteus as high as possible.
Meteor is the spell to watch. Danger occurs when he follows it up with Thunderbolt which stuns healers.
