Participating
Head to an area where a giant monster has appeared and work together with your fellow adventurers to take it down!
The Boyahda Tree
- Fastest route is Home Point #1 or Unity Warp 125 / 135.
- Fafnir tends to spawn in the water at the southeast end of the map, near the large waterfall.
Ru'Aun Gardens
- Fastest route is Home Point #5 or Survival Guide.
- Note that access to this area requires reaching rank 6 in your home nation, and completing Zilart Mission 13.
- Kirin tends to spawn in the large hallway.
Alzadaal Undersea Ruins
- Fastest route is Runic Portal or Unity Warp 128.
- However, the Unity Warp requires either the
Captain Wildcat badge (complete all Aht Urhgan Missions and all 50 Assaults), or a
Remnants Permit (500 Assault Points and once-per-game-day if you have
Rhapsody in Azure; 1500 AP and once-per-Earth-day otherwise).
- However, the Unity Warp requires either the
- For new players:
- At minimum, players must complete The Road to Aht Urhgan for access to Aht Urhgan, and Aht Urhgan Mission 2 to join Salaheem's Sentinels.
- Obtain 100 Imperial Standing points (IS). This can be done by getting the Sanction buff from an NPC, and then killing stuff in the Aht Urhgan region. Alternatively, a
Copper A.M.A.N. Voucher can be exchanged for 1,000 IS. - Go to Ugrihd at Aht Urhgan Whitegate (G-9), and exchange 100 IS for an
Imperial Silver Piece. You will need one of these for every time you enter the ruins. - Exit the city into Bhaflau Thickets map 1 (the home point is on map 2, which is much too far away). Go to (F-6) and trade 1 silver piece to Kamih Mapokhalam to get into the ruins. Follow the path, then take the teleporter on the left. Afterward, take the left teleporter again. You will now be in the large central map of the ruins (map 5).
- From the central map (map 5), the 4 teleporters across G-8/H-8/G-9/H-9 will take you to the corresponding sections of the map referenced above.
- Alexander usually spawns right in the middle of the large room, between the four pillars. He is visible from the teleporter platform. That said, the post-defeat chest can be hard to see at this distance, so walk forward a bit when checking to be sure.
- Players will usually shout the correct teleporter on the central map ("NW" for the northwest teleporter, etc).
About the monsters
| NM | Zone | Reward |
|---|---|---|
| Kirin | Ru'Aun Gardens | |
| Fafnir | The Boyahda Tree | |
| Alexander | Alzadaal Undersea Ruins |
- These monsters cannot be claimed by a single player or party and may be freely attacked by any adventurer that happens to be present at the time.
- Also, the monsters will respawn in approximately 45 minutes after they have been defeated.
- Trusts may be used, but you will gain hate upon attacking.
- Once you defeat one of these giant monsters, it will drop a treasure chest containing selected items. Anyone can open the treasure chest, and it will remain for 10 minutes until it is unlocked.
- Even if someone else opens the chest first, it will continue to remain until you open it yourself.
- Even people who didn't participate in the battle, or who weren't in the zone when the boss died, can come and get rewards from this chest. Feel free to come and claim the items on low-level characters, alts, tell your friends so they can get free stuff too, etc.
- If your inventory is full after checking the chest, you will be unable to obtain the Lungo Thesis.

Rhapsody in White from Rhapsodies of Vanadiel Mission 1-6. - The window is about 7 real-life hours long, with the cycle repeating every 2-3 real-life days.
- You can complete the quest as many times as you like during the window.
