Vana'Bout

"Vana'Bout is a large-scale Records of Eminence objective designed to be completed together by adventurers on all of the world servers. Over the course of the challenge period, each adventurer will receive "plaudits" based on the value of their contribution when completing the special Records of Eminence objective. The total number of plaudits earned by adventurers around the world will be tabulated and if it exceeds the target amount, the challenge shall be considered a success! There will be a special reward campaign added to the usual monthly campaigns as part of the event. In addition, personal rewards will be given to those adventurers who really make an effort during the event! The more plaudits you accumulate during the challenge period, the more rewards you can choose from!" Your plaudits will be reset each round and do not carry over to the next Vana'Bout installment.

Eligibility Requirements

In order to participate, players must satisfy the following:

• Complete the Records of Eminence Objective Stepping Into an Ambuscade in order to unlock access to Vana'Bout objectives.

Plaudit Rankings

• At any point during the challenge period, players may register their ranking with the Coordinator Moogle.
  • Rankings are based on plaudits earned at the time of registration and may be updated within the challenge period by the player as many times as they choose.
• Players may choose to have their name shown in the ranking list or remain anonymous, indicated by ???.
• At the end of the challenge period, the top ten registered players will receive a unique title: Venerated Adventurer.
  • If more than ten registered players are tied for first place, they will all receive the title.
  • The title will be awarded upon receiving the personall overall reward of either 10,000 experience points or 10,000 exemplar points.

Objectives

• Progress towards Records of Eminence objectives is personal only. That is, a player will not receive credit for actions taken by other players, such as damage dealt, weapon skills used, or damage taken.
• There may still be issues regarding the text of certain objectives matching IDs for English players. For example, the Unwanted Orb VBD requires using a Macrocosmic orb, not a Microcosmic Orb!
• Objectives will populate on the first day of Vana'Bout. Players will have until Japanese Midnight to complete Daily (VBD) objectives, and until the end of the event to complete overall objectives (VB). Typically, the first day will begin a few hours before Japanese Midnight, only allowing a short time to complete the first set of Dailies.
• Daily objectives which are left incomplete will remain for one daily reset, then be replaced on the second daily reset.
• Canceling a daily objective on the day it is received will not result in a new objective taking its place.
• Canceling a lingering objective after the first reset, or completing it, will replace it with an objective which was left incomplete from the previous day.

Current Vana'Bout Rewards

The overall rewards will be added to the usual monthly campaigns and their contents will change each time a reward challenge is held.

Players also earn personal rewards based on their plaudits. The more plaudits you accumulate during the challenge period, the more rewards you can choose from, with the prize tiers ranging from Bronze to Gold. You can select one reward from each tier that you meet the conditions for. The reward items that can be exchanged for personal rewards will be changed each time the reward challenge is updated.

The top 10 players with the most plaudits on each server at the end of the event are awarded the special title "Venerated Adventurer".

Overall Rewards

  • Cornelia's Alter ego Returns
    • Cornelia's Alter ego will be available for three months.
  • Obtain 10,000 Exemplar Points or 10,000 Experience Points
    • If you have 1 or more Plaudits, you can receive your points from the Coordinator Moogle located in Mhaura (G-8) once the challenge period ends.
• Plaudits Goal: 125% achieved
  • Add "Alter Ego Expo Campaign – PLUS!" to the December monthly campaigns
• Plaudits Goal: 150% achieved
  • Relic Armor Upgrade Support Campaign
    • The following effect will be added to the "Dynamis – Divergence Statue Crusher Campaign" going forward: Enemies with "Squadron" in their name will count for double when defeated.

Personal Rewards Exchange

At any point during the challenge period or reward period, you can select one reward from each tier based on the number of plaudits you earned by speaking to the Coordinator Moogle in Mhaura at (G-8). For Round 7, the plaudits were reduced in the middle of the event by 60 for all tiers in response to the Sparks trade in daily event. The appearance of this in the middle of the event caused protest as it was impossible due to it occurring after players had already traded in their cap of 100k sparks for the week. The Cosmic Orb event, which requires a Macrocosmic orb and not a Microcosmic orb, did not garner any change or correction.
