⚠️⚠️⚠️ BG Wiki hosts information about the retail version of FFXI, and has graciously agreed for CatsEye to have its own sections for custom content, while allowing for easy linking when there are no changes with retail. It is therefore important that we respect some rules and be good guests.

Tagging CatsEye XI Content

To avoid confusion with retail content, all custom content should be tagged appropriately.

Pages

All new pages should be prefixed with CatsEyeXI in the URL and the title, preferably as a child of one of the existing category, for example:

Images

Always prefix image names with Catseye-, for example Catseye-Labyrinth of Onzozo Excavation map.png.

Tips: Rename the file locally before upload, as it will pre-populate all the fields.

Snippets

There are a few types of snippets:

• Templates, like {{ Template Name |Parameter 1=Kupo |Parameter 2=クポ |Boolean Parameter=y |Empty Parameter= }}
  • Unused parameters can generally be omitted, it can sometimes help with clarity at the cost of making modification harder because you have to remember which parameters are available.
  • Boolean parameters usually take y to "enable" them.
  • Spacing doesn't matter within the double curly braces. For example, you can group multiple parameters on the same line, then break to the next line for some others.
    • That being said, the snippets below are shared with some specific spacing/grouping which help with readability when editing pages, if you copy/paste the code directly you should be fine.
