Accelerated CatsEye (ACE) Character

Accelerated CatsEye (ACE) is the most common game mode played on CatsEyeXI. It is designed to minimize resistance to progression, allowing you to establish a character quickly and experience all areas of the game without the time sink associated with 75-era retail FFXI.

Core mechanics and boosted rates

ACE characters benefit from significantly accelerated rates in key areas:

ACE features

ACE characters possess numerous quality-of-life benefits that streamline movement, inventory management, and early progression, aligning with the CatsEye Accelerated vision:

Travel and movement

• Outpost Warps: All Outposts are unlocked from the start for ACE characters, allowing immediate travel access across Vana'diel.
• Home Point travel & restoration: Enabled for ACE characters. HP crystals also restore HP/MP upon use.
• Survival guide & Unity Warp: ACE characters may utilize Survival Guide travel and limited Unity Warp travel.
• All maps unlocked: Immediate access to custom in-game maps, to aid navigation.
• Mount access: Mounts are enabled for ACE characters (available at level 20).
• Explorer moogles: Easy city teleportation for convenience.

Progression support

• Trusts: Having access to a full party of up to five Trusts allows ACE characters to accomplish milestones and delay certain group activities. It is recommended that players prioritize increasing their Trust capacity by completing Rhapsodies of Vana'diel missions.
• Equipment Boosts: The Sprout Beret & Echad Ring are enabled for ACE, offering additional EXP boosts.
• Wizardoll NPC: A specialized NPC allows ACE players to learn spells using Sparks of Eminence, bypassing the typical need for farming or Auction House purchases. See: Wizardoll

Economic access and support

ACE mode grants full access to vital economic and passive progression systems:

• Auction House Access: ACE characters can utilize the Auction House (AH), trade, and bazaar functions.
• Records of Eminence (RoE) & Sparks: ACE characters have full access to Records of Eminence (the venture system) and Sparks of Eminence systems, allowing them to earn passive gil and obtain early equipment. The monetary exchange amount is capped at 150,000 sparks per week.
• Fields of Valor (FoV): ACE accounts receive higher rewards from FoV, with Tabs offering a reward rate of x5.0.

• Login Campaign: Custom daily login campaign for additional rewards. See: Login campaign
• Global Linkshell: Access to the global linkshell for server events, community support, and organized activities.

Exclusive rewards

ACE accounts benefit from several exclusive reward systems designed to accelerate character establishment and prepare for endgame:

• Milestone reward: An exclusive reward program for new ACE players upon reaching level 75 and Rank 10 in nation missions. Players can choose relic weapon assistance, mythic weapon assistance, an Octave Club, or a Defending Ring. See: Milestone rewards
• Crafting rewards: ACE accounts receive two rewards upon hitting Crafting Level 100 in a craft: a free relic weapon voucher and a Kupo Shield (all crafts +3). See: Crafting rewards

Progression path

• Early endgame path: Domain Invasion (DI) and Sky are recommended as early endgame options to obtain gear and Aeonic Weapon Skills. Domain Invasion is particularly good for farming materials for Oboro Weapons and Aeonic Weapon Skills. See: Content progression

While ACE mode provides extensive solo capability, all major endgame challenges and the acquisition of best-in-slot rewards will require organized group cooperation. Becoming a member of a Linkshell is highly recommended for end game content.
