  • Note: for advanced job quests, many of these quests require you to be on a lvl 30+ job for each step of them, please plan accordingly.

Warrior

  • The duration of the Focus and Dodge job abilities has been extended from 30 seconds to 75 seconds
  • The duration of Footwork has been extended from 60 seconds to 120 seconds
  • Attack Bonus I acquired at level 30, II at level 55, and III at level 70.
  • Smite acquired at level 37
  • Counterstance is now considered a "stance" and lasts 2 hours with a 1-minute recast.

Adjustments

Crystal Warrior Crystal Warriors with a Black Belt may re-obtain their Brown Belt via a quest from Raving Fist in Mhaura.

  • This is for using it in level cap content.

White Mage

  • Gains access to Enlight at level 75.
    • Enlight is now a White Mage only spell.

Prestige

To earn a Treasure Hunter +1 Prestige bonus as Thief main job, you must:

  • Have THF prestige at level 4 or higher
  • Trade either a Rogue's Armlets+1 that has been augmented with Treasure Hunter, or a Dragon Cap +1 that has been augmented with Treasure Hunter, to Prestix in Upper Jeuno. You still keep the item and the augments. Prestix will not take it from your inventory.

To earn a Treasure Hunter +2 prestige bonus as THF main job, you must:

  • Have THF prestige at level 5
  • Trade both of the above augmented items to Prestix. Again, he will return the items after he inspects them.

Proc System

As of January 2025, the Treasure Hunter "proc" system has been implemented on CatsEyeXI. The following table shows the chance to proc the next tier of TH on a mob.

  • This table assumes your character's treasure hunter is 5, and you are attacking the mob with that TH gear equipped. If your TH level is lower or higher, adjust the number in the first column accordingly.
  • "Feint" in this table indicates that you are either attacking the mob with max-merited Feint on the attack, or that the mob already has the evasion-down effect of a max-merited Feint applied from a previous attack.
  • "SA" and "TA" refers to Sneak Attack and Trick Attack.
  • The maximum TH tier you can proc to on CEXI is 12.

Beastmaster Jug Pets were adjusted in order to address the seriously lacking attributes.

  • The adjustments were made in two parts: Ready Strength and Stats.

Ready Strength:
All jug pets have had their damage dealing Ready abilities increased based on the following factors:

  • Job level (x / 75 if main job, x / 37 if sub job)
  • CHR stat (x / 43, this does NOT include base CHR, only the +CHR)

What this means:
The formula for the increase is: (% of max player level) + (% of CHR stat)

Examples:
If player is BST75 main job and has CHR +80 (again, NOT including base stats), then:

Player Level: 75 / 75. CHR: 80 / 43
  • Total Ready damage increase: (75 / 75) + (100 / 43) = 1 + 1.86 = 2.86x damage increase

If player is BST60 main job and has CHR +20 (again, NOT including base stats), then:

Player Level: 60 / 75. CHR: 20 / 43
  • Total Ready damage increase: (60 / 75) + (20 / 43) = 0.8 + 0.47 = 1.27x damage increase

If player is BST30 sub job and has CHR +8 (again, NOT including base stats), then:

Player Level: 30 / 37. CHR: 8 / 43
  • Total Ready damage increase: (30 / 37) + (12 / 43) = 0.81 + 0.28 = 1.09x damage increase

Disclaimers:
You will never suffer a damage loss, it will only be subject to an increase in damage. Additionally, any buffs received from gear will still be accounted for, this is just a bonus on top.

  • We recommend you have a <wait 2> after the Ready ability in order for it to accurately.
    • Check your CHR stat in case of latency issues.

Beast Raising

Beastmaster has access to a new Beast Raising System that is exclusive to CatsEyeXI using the Bestiary Book (G-12) inside the Lower Jeuno Chocobo Stables.

  • Bonuses from this system apply to High-quality Jug Pets. Fully leveled pets provide aura effects for the whole party.
  • NOTE: Bestiary Book will NOT respond if you have not acquired at least one pet.


How to Unlock Beast Raising:

  1. There is no level requirement.
  2. As BST, kill the requisite source mobs in the below table .
  3. After the kill, you have a random chance to obtain it as a pet. If you do not see a message, you need to keep trying.
  4. Killing NMs yield a higher chance of success, but can be tedious.

Activities and Feeding
Players can participate in one, randomly selected, pet activity per day and one pet can be fed per day, each granting pet experience and levels.

  • Feeding: Trade the Bestiary Book the Food item listed below to feed your pet. 100xp
  • Rest: Pet wants to take the day off to rest. 200xp
  • Kill targets: Find the specific target in the zone. 400xp
  • Hot and Cold: /think in the given zone to find the buried treasure. 500xp

Ranged Distance Penalty

Ranger, as with all jobs on CatsEyeXI, does not use the ranged distance system. This means that you may use ranged weapons at point-blank range with no penalty.
You may see attack messages (your ranged attack "strikes true"), but rest assured, the distance penalty is not in effect on CatsEyeXI.

Samurai

  • Hasso and Seigan are now considered a "stances" and last 2 hours with a 1-minute recast.

Ninja

  • All ninjutsu cast on enemies gains +15 magic accuracy.

Abilities & Traits

  • Futae acquired at level 75.
  • Magic Burst Bonus I acquired at level 75.
  • Tactical Parry I acquired at level 75.
  • Mijin Gakure has been modified to give 3 shadows, and reduces the character to 1hp.
  • Casting elemental ninjutsu can now grant TP similar to the Occult Acumen trait. When you cast elemental ninjutsu on an enemy and deal at least 1 damage, you will now gain TP equal your Ninja Tool Expertise (max 100). The TP gained can be further increased with Store TP.

Dragoon

Abilities and Traits

  • Fly High acquired at level 75.
  • Dragon Breaker and the ability to use fjoturangons acquired via a quest at Sigmund in Mhaura. To unlock Dragon Breaker and the ability to use fjoturangons, players must speak with Sigmund in Mhaura after completing the Dragonslayer intro quest. Players will need: to have defeated at least 5 different "DKP" dragons, be Level 75 Dragoon, have 1,000 DKP, have 200 Stored Merits (ACE)/75 Stored Merits (CW/WEW), and trade a dragon heart, dragon talon, wyrm scale, and wyrm tooth. Use of a fjoturangon with the Angon ability will force a flying Wyrm to the ground (additionally, it will proc a Dragonslaying foe). In addition, the "defense down" status effect of a fjoturangon lasts for 15 more seconds than a standard angon.

Merits

  • Dragoon's Call Wyvern recast is now reduced by 3 minutes per tier of Empathy as of the 10-10-2024 update.

Summoner

  • Summoners may teleport to Cloisters after completing "Trial-Size" Mini-fork trials, without the use of a Mini-fork.
    • To initiate the teleport, Summoners must trade a nominal 100 gil to the respective NPC.
  • Light Spirit was adjusted to cast its protect and shell spells, enhanced similarly to how a scholar can make them AoE.
  • All magical Blood Pacts now gain +15 magic accuracy.
  • Group 2 Merit Blood Pacts now deal +25% damage.

Magic

1. ^ Requires augmented Apogee Sabots from the Stronghold System to increase Carbuncles level.
2. ^ Perfect Defense starts at 75% and begins to decay after 1/3 duration.

Blue Mage

Adjustments

  • Blue Mage gets Unbridled Learning at 75 after the 9-12-2024 update.
  • Blue Magic affected by Diffusion gets the bonus from gear that increases Enhancing Magic Duration after the 8-22-2024 update.
  • Blue Mage now gets an extra set point per tier of Assimilation for a total of +10 at rank 5 after the 8-8-2024 update.
  • Boruko (J-10) in Aht Urghan Whitegate (Near Waoud) provides players with additional Blue Magic Points as of the 9-19-2024 update.
    • Players earn points based on how many Blue Magic Spells they have learned, up to a maximum of 25 points.
    • Players with Lv.75 Blue Mage with access to merits is required to receive these bonuses.

Some spells that are normally higher than Lv.75 have been added to Blue Mage. Although some of these spells are normally learned from monsters that are found in areas not currently available on the CatsEyeXI server, customizations have been made to find them in other areas as noted below.

Artifact Armor

The AF quest Against All Odds does not function correctly, and has a work-around.

The Hydrogauge for Navigating the Unfriendly Seas can be found by clicking the ??? on the Aht Urhgan Whitegate Docks at I-11/12. It can also be fished up from Aht Urhgan Whitegate, Al Zahbi, Nashmau, and Silver Sea route to Al Zahbi, with any rod and any bait.

Puppetmaster

Important note

Due to balancing and server stability /pup is not usable, whilst you can set PUP as a subjob summoning the Automaton will not function!

Frames

Frames are obtained via Ghatsad, as per retail.

Crystal Warriors can obtain the required materials via a custom quest.

Attachments

Most Attachments work.

  • See Mnejing's Puppetmaster Shop for attachments that aren't otherwise sold from Yoyoroon in Nashmau at (G-6)
    • Rararoon is disabled on the server.
    • Note: Crystal Warrior's cannot use Mnejing's Puppetmaster Shop. Attachments he sells are obtained from Goblin's Gambit, Ob, Hilltroll Puppetmasters or Troll Machinists.
    • Some previously obtained attachments were given the wrong version and are not able to be equipped. Permitted attachments can be exchanged for the correct version free of charge at Geppetto (I-6) in Aht Urhgan Whitegate.

Automatons may be equipped with attachments which boost and augment their capabilities. Initially received as items, they must be traded to equip in the automaton equipment menu. Once traded they can not be turned back into items.
While your main job is Puppetmaster speak with Tateeya in the Automaton Workshop at (I-7) in Aht Urhgan Whitegate then trade her the attachments. She won't take an attachment that you have already traded before.

  • After the initial dialogue you may trade attachments on any job.

The quest Puppetmaster Blues is not functional.

  • To unlock the Puppetry Taj, you must complete the quest Operation Teatime and then speak to Mnejing in Aht Urhgan Whitegate at (G-10) to receive it.
  • The other Artifact Armor pieces are commissioned by Mnejing, instead of Dhima Polevhia.
    • You need to trade Mnejing the materials and currency at the same time
    • You do not need to wait a game day or zone between commissions, simply trade the items and currency and you will receive the piece

Artifact Armor

  • The SCH AF3 quest doesn't work as normal, but has a work around. Next to Erlene is a box labeled "SCH AF3"; click on that to start the Seeing Blood-red quest. Then, travel to Pashhow Marshlands (S) (E-11) but instead of clicking Indescript Markings, click the box labled SCH AF Hat to receive Unaddressed sealed letter. Once you have the key item, return to The Eldieme Necropolis (S) and click the SCH AF3 box labeled SCH AF3 to obtain your Scholar's M.board and complete the quest.
  • The remaining pieces from Loussaire work as intended.
    • The Indescript Markings for Scholar's Pants appeared around 10:00 game time for me. Outside the suggested 16:00-6:00 window.

Cardinal Chant was altered to provide an affinity boost to magic, determined by where the target is located relative to the caster when the elemental magic spell actually lands on the target, instead of the retail bonuses.

Affinity is a separate Magic Damage multiplier for a particular element. It sits at a 1.0 in the equation, and increases when affinity is added.

  • For refence below, an NQ elemental staff adds 0.05 to the multiplier. An HQ adds 0.1.
    • Those staves also add magical accuracy based on this of +10 and +20.

Collimated Fervor enhances the bonuses of Cardinal Chant by 50%.

  1. Talk to Drunk Taru in Bibiki Bay (G-10).
  2. He will ask for a Seal of Byakko.
  3. Trade him the Seal of Byakko and you will obtain the Geomancy Mitaines.

Artifact #3

  1. Talk to Drunk Taru in Bibiki Bay (G-10).
  2. He will ask for a Siren's Tear.
  3. Touch the ??? by the river at the (J-8/9) in North Gustaberg with no main or sub equipped.
  4. Trade him the Siren's Tear to obtain the Geomancy Galero.

  1. Talk to Drunk Taru in Bibiki Bay (G-10).
  2. He will ask for a Oil-Soaked Cloth.
  3. Trade him the Oil-Soaked Cloth to obtain the Geomancy Pants.

Artifact #5

  1. Talk to Drunk Taru in Bibiki Bay (G-10).
  2. He requests you return to him with the title received from killing the notorious monster Sandworm.
  3. Return to him with the title "Sandworm Wrangler" to complete the quest.
  4. You will obtain the Geomancy Tunic.
    • Additionally, speak to Drunk Taru one more time to have the following spells added directly to your spell list:

  1. Talk to West Minstrel in Ru'Lude Gardens (H-9) just down the stairs from HP #1.
  2. Talk to Varado in South Gustaberg (J-8, Southwest corner), at the top of the mountain.
  3. Examine the Stranger Flower at Blueblade Fell in Lufaise Meadows (J-6) to obtain the Key Item Yahse wildflower petal.
  4. Talk to Varado in South Gustaberg again (J-8).
  5. Zone (logging out works) and talk to Varado once again.
  6. You will obtain the Runeist Mitons and may now start AF #2/3/4.

Artifact #2/3/4

  1. Talk to Caida in East Ronfaure (H-10, Northeast corner)
  2. Talk to Caida in East Ronfaure (H-10) again and ask about all three runes
    1. Rune of Power
      1. Go to Rolanberry Fields (K-10), click the ??? for an NM battle.
      2. After defeating the NM click the ??? again for a Key Item Vivid Rainbow Extract.
    2. Rune of Wisdom
      1. Solve the cipher. (Examine the ??? at the Aged Arbor, E-5 in Batillia Downs from Beaucedine Glacier entrance)
    3. Rune of Courage
      1. Go to Monastic Cavern (J-7), examine the ??? for a Key Item Runic Kinegraver.
  3. Return to Caida in East Ronfaure (H-10) and turn in your key items.
  4. You will obtain the Runeist Bottes, Runeist Trousers, and Runeist Coat
  5. After obtaining the gear, talk to Caida again and make sure he tells you to go to the desert.

Artifact #5

  1. Go to Eastern Altepa Desert and speak to Babus at (F-10).
  2. Inquire about the trial.
  3. Trade Babus (F-10) a seal of Byakko, Genbu, Seiryu, and Suzaku, they will be returned.
  4. You will obtain the Runeist Bandeau.
